Need cultural help

Hi, ptutu fandom!

So I need some research help with a piece I'm doing, where Fakir is wearing a sherwani.

I'm going for middle eastern (more fairytale prince) look and I'm wondering if there are rules for sherwani for royalty that I might be missing.

So far I have the Tumblr post as a reference:

I have seen that they might be wedding attire (which is perfectly fine), but there's also some models wearing a sash or a scarf. There were others with a sword, but is it safe to assume that's a symbol of power or military?

Also if there's meaning behind some window screen patterns I see in some architecture like at mosques? Some seem to have stars and others flowers. Just want to know if there is any significance.

If anybody knows, that would be a great help!
