                     after a pleasant car ride the trio were being welcomed into the restaurant, and back into the warm. with it being a frosty night outside, eleven madison park seemed exceptionally inviting. elijah had called ahead and had them add another chair to their table, and they were soon seated.  ❝ good evening, and welcome back, Mr. Mikaelson. It’s always a pleasure,❞ the waiter greeted them. he turned to the two newcomers and introduced himself. ❝ my name is Anthony and I will be your waiter this evening. We offer a seasonal tasting menu that focuses on local ingredients. A meal with us consists of 10-15 courses and we welcome you to share any allergies, aversions, or dietary restrictions so that we can tailor the menu to your preferences. ❞ He lay the menus down in front of each of them, and gave them a few moments.

                       the show was over, and elijah took to waiting for hayley to change. a figure next to him was caught out of the corner of his eye. ❝ —- marcel. ❞

Next week was Thanksgiving, and finally when the semester was going to be over in a few weeks Hayley felt she was getting the hang of ballet. She might even consider taking it again next semester, and she certainly was in no danger of failing. She stretched and rolled her neck at the end of her one on one with Elijah. “I kind of like doing the couples dances,” she said as she walked up to him. It was what they had been practicing lately. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders and kissed his cheek. She was wearing the boots he had gotten her for her birthday, and they had been a godsend.

                 the hour was late, and his one on one session with his student had drawn to a close as the sun went down over the manhattan skyline.  ❝ do you now? ❞ he replied, pulling her into his further.  ❝ and is that down to your partner? or can i be... replaced?❞ the last word was spoken against her lips.

Brontide - Gilijah

Brontide - The low rumbling of distant thunder.

The sun was shinning.  Of course it was.  it had to be.  Otherwise she would not have gone up in flames so quickly.  Yet Elijah could hear a storm.  Louder and louder it rang in his ears.  The grin of satisfaction illuminating Niklaus’ face like lightning in the night sky.  And all he could hear was the roaring, the howling.  He thought he heard a rather impressive boom, but it was really the crack of his knuckles against the bone in his brother’s cheek.  It wasn’t until he was tumbling down the stairs that he realized the sun hadn’t gone, only she had.  There was no storm approaching but the storm of his own emotions fighting to be let of their leash to rule him.
