Prince Rhea
Age: 20-25
Skills: Expert diplomat, shockingly deceptive and proficient with small blades.
Additional abilities: none.
Bio:
Rhea’s life was intended to be a lavish one. The third and youngest of her siblings, her future was destined to be one where she’d be married off when she came of age, likely to strengthen relations with another nation. Perhaps she’d even be Queen of a land far from her own. But any plans her parents may have had for her changed forever the day they were killed when their home was invaded and their family was supplanted from the throne.
In the chaos of that day she was separated from her brother Horatius. She’d tried and failed to find him, but she would not see him again for many years, nor would she ever see their elder brother who too was slain in the conflict of the day.
Rhea would find herself on the move constant after she’d managed to flee the capital. She went by a new name almost every week, a new origin for every person she became in her quest to simply survive. She did much that one might not expect of a Princess. Lied, cheated, stole and even killed to protect herself from those that would have seen her head on a spike alongside the rest of her family. In time she grew more bold, more defiant. She learned of the one who’d open the gates to their enemy. The one who ultimately led to the demise of her parents. She tracked him down and made him pay tenfold for the betrayal. For five years she found others and enacted her vengeance upon them.
But her ultimate revenge was enacted by her brother Horatius the day he reclaimed the throne for their family. When news spread she almost didn’t believe it. Nor did Horatius when he was informed that his sister had returned to the castle. From that moment they were never far from one another side. She resumed her duties as Crown Princess, but unlike her parents who would have defined her destiny, Horatius allowed her to dictate her own. Unofficially she is the spy master of the Kingdom. Her years living amongst all manner of their subjects giving her a better insight than most.
When asked how she survived all those years, she tells most simple luck. But it’s only Horatius who knows the truth. That she’s no fragile thing. She’s the greatest asset, the one he trusts above all others. She in turn trusts him with her life and would do anything to see his reign continue uninterrupted. Anything.
