The details here are really cool, things like moving the bow and off setting it and using the tiara as a hair tie keep familiar parts of Neptune's uniform but  also feel really nice and new. You've also got a really nice sense of movement in the skirt and the lacework on the edge is awesome

ahaha the lacework is a brush I found, I didn’t know about them!! So I can’t really take the credit there, but thank you! I want that cardigan.

There’s really good body language going on here! She looks really fluid, and I love the way her skirt is floating slightly to the side. The lace work is really wonderful. the overall of effect of this whole piece is really lovely

I really love the overall look of this drawing. Neptune's elegance comes through very clearly, and so does her power. The tiara being used to keep her hair up is an amazing touch that I love. I have no problems imagining Michiru fighting someone in this and then being able to attend a social gathering without even changing. The background really goes with the colors and adds a dreamy look, invoking the serenity of the sea. Thanks for sharing!

This is seriously such a lovely piece. For one, I adore the image of Neptune just strolling in with her clutch in hand, give her a moment and she have it tucked away in it's proper place. Does she still have gloves? Will she take out from her clutch a pair of gloves more suited to her attire. Or is she fine with this because she isn't going to have to touch you anyway, she commands the very oceans, they heed her every call and will move to her whims at the motion   of her hand, one does not need gloves for that. Her hair up in a bun and being in place by her tiara, I ADORE THIS. I have such an honest love of this. Not to mention the level of detail you worked into it. THE TRANSPARENCY OF THE LACE AT HER SKIRTS HEM. That is some lovely lace work there Doc, you've given it shape and texture and shown the more transparent nature of it. Beautiful touch. Not to mention the rendering of her pearl necklace.It's so delicate in presence but feels such a right and even personal touch. LET ME JUST SAY I ADORE THE IMAGE OF NEPTUNE FIGHTING IN THIS. Every bit still the capable fighter and she will show you exactly how and have nay a hair out of place. I HAVE SUCH A LOVE FOR THIS!

I am so all the fuck over this, which I'm sure has you terribly shocked. I love how you turned the tiara into the tie for her bun. I loved how you kept her bangs all curly and all over the place. Maybe even a bit curler to make up for the tameness of her bum. I adore the offset bow and the little touch of lace at the bottom of the skirt. I love that the clutch isn't the same color. I just love all the little details in this!  *tameness of her bun. I'm pretty sure Haruka would tell me there's nothing tame about her bum and I'm sorry I disappointed you, Haruka.

Yeah I could never see you wearing this geeky :P Totally not up your alley. And yes Haruka would protest that her bum is NOT tame.

I love it! Something about the clutch in particular really strikes my fancy. I guess because it's not usually the sort of thing I see in these redesigns. Is that the replacement for her mirror in this design?

I remember this. I can’t believe it’s been a year! I think about this one, still, sometimes, and its mate, and how much I love them, and how they stuck in my head. Ghost stories and haunted houses and this kind of thing, this story, this is my kind of horror. Creeping and aching and a slow, cold dawning like a December morning that’s inevitable, that waits in spite of the warmth of the blankets you’re in.

You can’t do Ballet?

No one in my city will do adult ballet. The only adult “ballet” class is Barre, which isn’t a ballet class, it’s a workout class. And I LOVE working out!! But that’s not the same thing. It’s not learning to dance.

man, I would HAPPILY take a beginning class with the goddamn 8 year olds until I tested out of it, but every dance school I called said “lol no” when I explained I had never done ballet but I had always wanted to and was in pretty excellent physical condition. In fairness, I would have been embarrassed at 18, but now I would be DELIGHTED if someone let me put on a pink tutu with the children.
