So, I’m nearing the end of the merman Derek webcomic and was thinking about printing it. I’ve got scrubbed copies of past issues online that haven’t been super successful, and very few prints done of the non-scrubbed ones on request in the past. It’s generally not something folks seem interested in and, uh, unfortunately don’t think I have the reach to make it worth an attempt to do a Kickstarter for the full 150+ page print.

So I’ll probably just be making one for myself, and whoever on Patreon wants one. I’ll post the final bits here once it’s done (patreon first, of course) and then get a single copy to test it out and feel all fancy with. If there is anyone interested, just let me know! I can make a note to come check in with you when it’s print time. If not, no worries! And thank you for reading along with my silly story lol ♥️

heads up from me, a person who works a day job in a small business print shop; we love your art, we want to print your art, we want to help you out.

For the love of fuck if youre printing a comic book the number of pages needs to be divisible by 4. Its held together by staples so its a longer sheet folded in the middle. One sheet of paper in a booklet = 4 'sides' please help me.

If your book has 23 pages add 1 more. If it has 13 pages add 3 more. You get me. It needs to divide by 4 into a whole number or you will get blank pages somewhere in there. Extra pages can be anything. Make a goofy splash page. Dedicate it to your grandma. Scribble a little guy with a hat in the corner. Those pages will be in your book anyway they may as well have something printed on them.

This is such a small specific problem but its every day at this point Im having this conversation. Not that anyone has been a pain in my ass about it (and i dont mind if they are, its not a crime to not know stuff) but if even one person reads this and learns something new youre welcome i love you and thanks for reading.
