Anniversary Update!

Hello everyone! Long time no see! Hope you’ve been well, and if not I hope you WILL be well soon. <3

Today is Petra’s 6th Anniversary!  °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°  And to celebrate with not only a commemorative drawing, here’s also a long-overdue update on the book!

As you VERY well know, the outside world has changed whatever plans anyone made for 2020. My book and other things being among them. Regardless, I insisted that this book will be done! However this goal had hurdles even I didn’t see many months ago! One of them being the book’s size.

Originally, the webcomic’s strip format proved to result in an oddly-shaped book. About 6x14 inches was my original measurement. (verrrry big. =w=;;) The printer I wanted to work with haulted business and the printers I found in the US could not print my size. I came to a crazy decision: Double my workload and make the book smaller!

At first I was going to go through all my comic strips, make edits accordingly, then do everything else. Good news, the edits are done! What I’m doing now is arranging panels to fit inside the new page size. Here’s an example:

As you can see, the original webcomic page is retained but some elements will change. (shrinking or elongating panels, adding extra panels, etc.)

Please note this is only the content you guys know. The new extra stuff has been started but not done and will be revealed soon enough.

To sum up: in the 6th year of Petra, the biggest thing I want to do is get Petra’s story into the hands of everyone who loves birds, bats, and comicbook hyjinks in a book jam-packed with life and love! Thank you for reading (both the comic and this long post) and see you next time! ^___^
