Declan Mulholland was hired to play Jabba the Hutt in The Empire Strikes Back. He did a scene with Harrison Ford, complete with costuming and set. As it turns out, George Lucas was unsure how he was going to portray Jabba. He really didn't want a human to play him, he thought he would replace Declan in the scene with a stop-action animated Jabba. In the end he cut this scene and used a giant slug-like puppet as Jabba. Some say that Lucas did initially plan to have Declan play Jabba after William Hootkins turned down the role, but it wasn't working out with Declan.

Ian Richardson In Private Schulz. A brilliant series with a hilarious story about a former prisoner forcibly recruited In german army during the WWII. Ian Richardson is superb as an incompetent german officer placed in a position of power. In addition, he successes the “tour de force” of playing three other roles (all crazy). A breathtaking performance of the british actor. I especially remember this third character that he played, Stanley Kemp, at the opposite of Ian’s usual image of class and elegance. A scottish crook who has just go out from jail. He has impressed me because he did not stop running throughout the last episode. I don’t know if Ian was a runner but he had the technical gesture of sprinter.

Got home today and watched the first few episodes of House of Cards, the rain made me feel blue and I needed cheering up. Got to my fathers house just know, he's just bought Private Schulz and Porterhouse Blue....fantastic....I think this weekends going to be an Ian Richardson fest. Will cheer me up greatly!
