ㅡ 。as if the seriousness in his tone that faintly riddled across the rehearsal room is fated to be a mere comedy. taekwon’s pair of brown eyes locked the contact with the mellow female idol’s pair. “ I’m serious. “ he continued, unleashing the pressed of his lips as his low voice roared again. “ They were desperate, and I’m stuck under this wave of peer pressure. Definitely not the proudest moment of my life, but I honestly did regret it. My father caught me stealing the wine from the church, and I got punished for months!”

‘I’d have never expected.’ She spoke, tone still filled with pure confusion. ‘Stealing wine is one thing.. stealing from church, who are you again?’ she asks, though her expression remains serious her lips had given away her teasing with a slight curl of it’s corners. ‘I don’t blame your father at all, I would’ve punished you for years! You got away easily.’ She spoke as she nudged the other’s side with her elbow. ‘Who would’ve known.’ she ended, as if the story had been so incredibly surprising though in reality, these kind of situations occurred in any teen’s life at one point, it was meant to be part of the process of growing up and maturing, right?

mingxia knew the male was joking - she’d hung out with him long enough to know when he was serious and when he was not. hearing that he could teach her now causes the girl to perk up visibly, her smile widening. walking over to the drum set, she takes a seat on the stool, getting herself comfy before taking the drum sticks in her hand. carefully, she starts hitting the instrument, overly cautious, as if afraid to break it. while it doesn’t sound horrible, it’s slow and obviously can’t be used to make a real song. “ i have no idea what i’m doing,” she laughs.

mingxia hadn’t noticed she was staring off until he pointed it out. only then did she notice how tight she held the coffee cup in her hands, how the other had stopped stiring the drink yet still held the teaspoon so tight. she shouldn’t be fazed by it. so what if the boy used to have a crush on someone else? it was in the past, it’s not like she hasn’t had crushes before either. but yet the very thought makes the girl’s stomachs queasy and makes her upset, yet she doesn’t know why.

was she jealous? no, she wasn’t. she had no right to be - they weren’t dating, they were just friends. friends who hung out a lot. that was it, right? “sorry,” she says, setting down the teaspoon and taking a sip of her coffee. “i just had something on m mind, no big deal.”

“even if i go back, nothing will change.” eunha got close to taekwon because of how similar their pasts were. both their fathers were pastors who wanted something different for their children, and they both fell in love with music and pursued that. while eunha had already debuted, it didn’t stop her from befriending the male trainee, treating him as a friend rather than a hoobae. the pair had been talking about their family lives - something the girl usually hated talking about - and tried to dismiss the very thought of going back. nothing would change, anyway. there was no point.

Our money also smells like maple syrup, which sounds weird but since it’s kinda the item of our nation it works well and is recognizable. THIS WAS PROBABLY THE BEST WAY TO END SUMMER, with sticks of skewered rice cakes in Jinsu’s hands and a band playing in the background as they walked along the food stalls that sold multitudes of street food and offered varieties of drinks. She had never been in a festival before so she was thankful that Taekwon took the time out of his busy schedule to accompany her to the event. “Oh!! I heard they were going to set off the fireworks in an hour, do you want to go watch it??” She asked, bright-eyed as she smiled at him, the happiness from today’s events exuding from her. “Some locals told me the best spot’s at the beach.”

mingxia had been asking the male to teach her the drums for about a week now. while she doesn’t think she’s any good at it, taekwon has been nothing but supportive and she’s so grateful that he’s so patient with her. now that it was way past midnight and both parties were dead tired, they both just wanted to grab some food and sleep. she was fixing up her stuff when she hears his words and she jolts right up. “what? no, that can’t be. have you tried pushing harder?”
