i reject that Khoa is a bad father. I just know he tries his hardest to one up bruce.

Though i also hc Phantom-One or Johan (my hc) as autistic. Prime Aspd x Asd solidarity. One can't understand social cues because they dont feel empathy. The other cant read social cues because they just cant.

Khoa doesnt love him in a traditional sense, he "loves" him for what he can do for him. He "loves" him because he is his. He is like a trophy, and a pet. But not in a negative way, just as a this is how i explain how i see you.

Similar to how Khoa feels for Bruce.

The race track is empty, no one but you, Satoru Gojo, and the moon.

He is looking over you, looming yet bright enough in this darkness to make you think the sun has fallen from space and is now in arms reach.

Despite the burn in your eyes, you peer up at him, expression giving him nothing but the numbness you feel. “That girl you used to know, Six, she’s dead. Gone. She’s never coming back,” you deadpan, slicing the roof of your mouth with the sharpness of your tongue.

You half expect him to walk away, burnt by your coldness, but he doesn’t even so much as blink. Rather, he remains firm in front of you, spine bent into his car, heels digging in the pavement of endless tire marks, hands folded in his pockets that are heavy with the money he just won from the neck-in-neck race.

His willingness to stay makes your heart jolt unexpectedly, and for a second, you believe it’s alive. Very quickly, you remind yourself that it’s not.

Satoru’s eyes soften, empathy written in the color blue, substituting out his typical god-like arrogance. “Then give me a chance to get to know her, the person you are now,” he says, his typical humorous tone he always uses to keep joy in a world where he knows there is slim to none is non-existent. In its place is something tender and true, reminding you of when you were both younger. Back when you were different, so was he, and so was the meaning of life.

You don’t bask in those warm memories. That part of your life is worlds away and no longer important. Taking the lit cigarette tucked in its typical place between your fingers, you set it between your lips dressed cherry red, the color borrowed from Shoko, a little smudged by the whiskey Suguru was passing around earlier.

You take a drag, needing to rid the feeling of life happening in your chest. “Why should I?” you respond dryly, smoke leaving your slanted mouth. “Give me one good reason.”

His hand leaves his pocket and begins to reach out. It looks like he’s about to touch you but stops mid way, loose fingers twitching, as if reminding himself that human contact isn’t your most favorite thing, even from those you know.

He covers up his mistake by reaching for the cigarette you just pulled free from your mouth. You give it to him willingly, knowing it’s his one way of taking the edge off since he’s not one to drink.

“Because I cared about you when we were kids, and even if you refuse to believe it, I care about you now too,” Gojo tells you. Cigarette to his mouth, he places his pink lips right over where yours just were making you hold your breath.

He inhales the tobacco and exhales the potent smoke, filling the brisk air. “I don’t give a damn how many versions there are of you, Mars. Two. Ten. Fifty,” he exchanges the cigarette back to you, his long fingers meeting yours in a gentle brush. “I wanna know them all.”

Your heart jolts again. It makes you think, head fuzzy with Marlboro’s and Jack Daniel’s, maybe that organ, bloody and broken, isn’t that dead after all.
