Reposted from @chrishallrides - When I did a @zerolemon podcast a while back with @willgirling one thing that properly stood out to me in his tips was about the phrase ‘I wish..’ what Will said was ‘If you really wished it, why haven’t you done it?’ So after that chat it reminded me of that ‘I wish’ thing I keep saying which was ‘I wish I had a track bike to go and train and race around on the velodrome with.’ As a kid I used to do a bit of track racing but for some reason I just stopped. Every time I go back to @hernehillvelodrome or @leevalleyvp I always do that same@thing again, saying ‘I wish I was racing on a track.’ So that started off this lockdown project, hunting down an old @cervelocycles T1 (always one of my favourite frames when I was younger) that was built up as a bit of a town Fixie with a tri-spoke on the front, bull horn bars and a deep section on the rear that weighed a small tonne. It was to be used as a start point. I stripped everything off it, sold those parts and anything I needed I used the funds from what I’d sold to go towards this. The rest it pretty much made up of parts and things I already had laying about at home. There’s a couple of bits I’m still going to change on it but for now it’s a good start.
