Actually now that I think of it, I feel like they bent over backward to make Scarlett more likable on film than she is in the book...because in the movie she's working in the fields with her sisters. And her kids aren't even in the movie ( so she doesn't look like a horrible mother? ). And the book said she wasn't pretty ( not like they were gonna pick somebody who wasn't ) and we get vivien leigh XD

#the movie is waaY less offensive than the book #I mean I sort of glossed over it bc I was a kid when I read it #but she really pins the south's issues on the north #I mean look I wouldn't have burned Atlanta even though I have every right to be pissed but no one told y'all to secede #procrastveitor

I feel like I've accomplished something I got one person to watch GWTW and another to read it
