Godmother → Belle + Mohini
Aside from Hogwarts being one of the farthest wizarding schools from Ireland, one of the factors which had her parents signing transfer papers to one of the greatest wizarding schools in Great Britain instead of Beauxbatons was because her godmother was a professor at Hogwarts. Her parents had met her godmother at a formal dinner party a mutual friend of theirs hosted, and the rest was history. In the short time Mohini had stayed in Ireland, the half-Veela’s was born and her parents had asked if she could be the half-Veela’s godmother, and the older woman had accepted. The short time Belle had spent with her godmother was spent by browsing various texts, debating on numerous topics and even going out on random trips which Belle usually didn’t like but actually enjoyed when she was with her godmother. And although Mohini left to continue with her travelling after a few years, Belle still sent letters to her godmother, containing her most personal thoughts and the most recent events in school - all aside from what happened in her fifth year in Waterford, her previous school.
Making her way to her godmother’s office, her blue-trimmed robes billowing at her fast pace, Belle couldn’t help but anxiously worry her bottom lip, her grip slightly tightening on the letter her mother had asked her to give to her godmother as soon as possible. The piece of parchment contained everything that happened in Belle’s previous school. The killing, the current investigation, her family’s nonchalant and even slightly proud behavior with everything that had happened and a message from her mother to Mohini, asking if she could look out after Belle in school and at the same time asking the Hogwarts professor to guide Belle along, especially with the issues with the Ministry. Catching sight of the door to Mohini’s office, the half-Veela lets out a breath as she steels herself. She wasn’t quite sure how the Wizarding Photography professor would react, so as she raps sharply on the door three times, Belle puts on her bravest front.
