Leila Janah - The Microwork Revolution
Governments & majority of those who are "fortunate" 's responses to poverty is giving, whether it be the food, clothes or monetary donations.
What about microwork? It is also an act of giving, however here the thoughts & belief of recovery of hope/future - of the 4.5 billion people in need - sounds much more realisable and faster to my ears.
Leila Janah - undoubtedly one of the powerful women to watch in 2014 - describes her company's mission statement and how it became about. Samasource is among those corporations that generate profits for purpose.
I am unaware - because I haven't done much research - of the % of companies in alignment with such cause and faith in humanity. There's one thing floating in my mind for a while now though. Among that is the notion of thoughs leadership. Beyond that, if 85% of successful corporations have a sense of responsibility in their growth, where would the world and its issues be in the next 30 years, or 20 years, or 5 or even days from now?
