SOFT KILL
“MISSING”
PROFOUND LORE
Yea buddy, SOFT KILL are back with another single, a rangy rocker titled “MISSING,” in the lead-up to their highly anticipated new LP ‘Savior.’
The Portland based group, consisting of mainstay Tobias Graves (vocals/guitar/synths) along with Conrad Vollmer (guitar), Owen Glendower (bass) and Adam Bulgasem (drums) continue their maturation on their latest offering, as “Missing” displays an ever evolving Soft Kill while pointing their sound in exciting directions. All the talk of influences surrounding ‘Savior,’ with Graves citing The Gun Club, Tom Petty, & U2 specifically, really shine through on “Missing,” especially those chiming six-strings & galloping rhythm.
The track’s creator has gone on record stating that “Missing” is his favorite Soft Kill song ever, as it no doubt holds a lot of weight within his heart. The musical arrangement owes much to Grave’s love affair with the “polished grit of 80’s American rock,” especially the kind that gothicly flirts with New Wave tendencies, which is easy to spot within the song’s propulsive & melancholic mix of guitars, drums, and forlorn vocals.
Is everyone else as excited to hear where ‘Savior’ takes us as this here author, I sure as shit hope so…

SOFT KILL
“DANCING ON GLASS”
PROFOUND LORE
SOFT KILL have returned in triumphant fashion with “DANCING ON GLASS,” the lead single for their forthcoming LP titled ‘Savior.’
The Portland based group consisting of Tobias Grave (vocals/guitar/synths), Conrad Vollmer (guitar), Owen Glendower (bass) and Adam Bulgasem (drums) bring the brood across the jangly 3 minutes that is their latest single. “Dancing On Glass” displays Soft Kill’s penchant for subdued power, as the guitars ring out and the low end sets a comfortable groove for Grave’s hushed vocal.
There’s something solid in what Soft Kill pull off, as Benjamin Greenberg’s (Uniform) production suits the track well, as the sound is crisp & unfussy. “Dancing On Glass” is another solid step forward for the group and was born out of the personal strife its creator bore since we last heard him, which ups the gloom far beyond the aesthetic idea of goth.
