ugh accidentlaly canceled this post right when I finished writing it. well, less detail now.

watched teekyuu season 2; glad I didn't watch it while it was airing because anything less than 12 eps at a time would be weird

draws and more draws

did this week's progfun assignment; was the easiest one in a while because they did almost all the annoying stuff for you and the part that would have otherwise been kinda hard was almost exactly the same as the example in the videos. only tricky thing was the fact that I didn't read that x and y were switched

went to get a checkup. probably should've brought my 3ds but forgot how much waiting there usually is

took a nap at about 3pm until 5

sorta watched this week's progfun lectures except mostly just looked at the slides because I didn't feel like sitting through explanations of maps folds filters and other basic functional list operations that I already knew. there's no assignment this week either so yeah

decided to watch some hearthstone streams on twitch.tv

worked on this week's progfun assignment. I don't really even remember what I did before that (I started at maybe 5 or 6pm), aside from like, watching youtube videos. anyway this week's was pretty cool also, though most of them were actually trivial to do with Maps/maps/folds but I figured I might as well do them the recursive way. also ended up using a zipper in some actual code for once, at least the version for lists.

also looped ai kotoba ii about 135 times

work. went to ukranian restaurant for lunch. got an omelette

surprisingly empty on the subway ride home today

phone convo with chenna on part of the walk home. at home, watched some hearthstone videos, then this week's progfun coursera stuff. was actually pretty interesting, I didn't know about the covariance stuff and it seems kinda neat. looked at the assignment very briefly. I don't remember too much about huffman coding

spent some time redoing this week's progfun assignment in haskell. thought about doing it a different way with foldable or traversable or whatever but decided not to, and just kinda did it the same way. it was a good reminder about how to use classes and datatypes which I never really used all that often

spent some more time configuring smartphone things. was mostly concerned with the fact that mobile data was not available as a quick toggle so I looked into power-saving apps but decided I'd rather just turn things on/off manually like I usually do. downloaded widgetsoid which had a mobile data toggle which is nice

spent most of the rest of the day working on this week's progfun assignment. actually a lot harder than it looked at first glance, and efficiency actually sorta mattered in this one. it was a good assignment.
