After a while, you had taken to doing your work in Sun and Moon’s room instead of any of the offices. It was comfier, cozier, and made you a hell of a lot more relaxed than usual. Your Fizzy Faz supply was never at risk thanks to Sun’s addiction to the stuff, and he was more than happy to share with you. Moon wasn’t as enthused because it kept you up, but he couldn’t really object whenever you were on the clock. Tonight was no different as you worked away at some lines of code up in his room, laser focused on your work as always.
Moon wasn’t particularly a fan of how hard you were working tonight. You always worked hard of course, being the head programmer and all, but the way you had your brows furrowed at the screen made him desire to take that edge off of you. There was such a thing as working too hard for him, and he’d prefer it if his partner wasn’t stressed beyond repair.
It was an intended late night for you, a scheduled server maintenance being the thing keeping you from going home. Moon could tell you hated it regardless of how good you were at your job, so when he came back from a quick lap around Rockstar Row, he made it his mission to lessen the stress on you. He crept up behind you in the usual manner he always did while you were distracted by your work and poked you in your side to get your attention. He sure got it, a yelp escaping you as you lifted your hands from your keyboard and whipped around to face him, momentary shock on your face before you let out a deep sigh.
“What on earth do you think you’re doing?” You asked him, your profile lit up by only your screen.
“Trying to get you to stop working so hard.” He replied nonchalantly.
“Well it worked. Meanie.” You pouted, rubbing your side.
“What. You can’t be that ticklish, can you?” He laughed, watching the way your fingers gripped at your side protectively.
“And what if I am? Shouldn’t you know that by now?” You scoffed.
You were right. He did know by now. You were so incredibly ticklish it was almost comical, and with that realization fresh in his mind, a wide grin spread across his face. An anxious sweat broke out on you upon seeing a grin as mischievous as his, and you chuckled nervously.
“You’re right, moonbeam~. Tell you what, you have one minute to find a really good hiding place.” He offered.
“W-why…?”
“Because when that minute is up, you’d better hope I never find you~. You might end up tickled to death~” He replied, wiggling his fingers at you.
“Oh shit.” You muttered.
He didn’t need to tell you twice. You slammed your laptop closed faster than you could blink and booked it for the window, your heart rate having skyrocketed through the roof. It was a shot in the dark, but you hoped to god the fly line was left out in front of the window where it originally was. Thankfully, it actually was, and you leapt from the platform with all your strength and grabbed the line, swinging across the daycare and down to the floor thanks to your weight. You had made it a fair distance across the entire daycare thanks to the line, sprinting for your life once you hit the floor as you darted under the play structures in hopes you could find a good spot to escape your menacing partner.
Hiding inside the play structure would be too obvious. The only sensible option would be to dive under the entire thing and isolate yourself behind some walls, hoping he would check there at all. It was exhilarating almost, running from your partner in a hilarious game of chase. Praying to whatever force you could, you jumped behind a couple of walls and pressed yourself into a corner, hoping that he wouldn’t come under the structure and find you. It was your only choice, and soon your timer was up, meaning he was on the hunt.
Your breathing had slowed, practically silent as you heard Moon jump down into the ball pit. You pressed yourself even closer to the walls to keep yourself out of the line of sight. There were still some spots where the play structure was made of rope and plastic bars that could be seen through, but you were behind enough hard plastic walls that you could stay hidden and check up on how safe you were. In this moment, you truly saw how scary Moon could really be, red eyes scanning over the daycare while he crept around in search of you.
He started off searching the entire inside of the play structures, which made your hiding place a very good call. He spent every bit of ten minutes inspecting the whole place before he came out, and now the game really began. He didn’t check the slides, behind any bridges, or the lighthouse. He instead went straight for the back corner of the daycare, under the play structures, directly towards where you were hiding. Your heart began to beat harder and faster as you heard him get closer, and you started to wonder if he actually knew where you were and only searched the play structure to give you a false sense of security.
“My, what a rapid heartbeat you have~. Are you nervous, or excited~?” Moon’s voice purred out a lot closer than you thought, confirming your suspicions.
“CHEATER! YOU CAN’T SCAN FOR ME!” You wailed, knowing you’ve been caught.
You tried your best to make a break for it, but as soon as you rounded the first corner Moon already towered over you. He clotheslined you with his arm and scooped you up, dragging you over to a portion of the play structure made from those silly plastic bars. Despite your greatest efforts to flee from him, he had you right where he wanted you and removed one of the ribbons on his wrist.
“You can’t escape me, starlight~” He teased, dangling the jingling ribbon above you.
“Cheater!” You cried out again.
He did not bat an eye at your protests or obvious call out of him cheating. He knew what he did, and knew what he was going to do. Moon neatly gathered up your wrists in one hand and tied them together with his ribbon, using its surprising length to also secure your wrists to the play structure.
“You should’ve hid better~”
“Don’t you daAARE! NAHA!” You shrieked, kicking your leg out the moment his fingers touched your waist.
It was a damn good kick too. The top of your foot made a clean connection with his side and caught him off guard for a moment, which gave you a few more seconds of peace at least. He now had a motive to sit on your legs though, ruining your only defenses.
“You’ve got a good kick, starlight. Too bad it won’t help you~” He teased, pushing your legs down so he could gently sit on them to prevent any more kicks. “You’re gonna get punished for kicking me like that.”
“Moon c’mon throw me a bone! You cheateEED! NOHOHOHO!”
There was no mercy for you now. After that kick he went right back to that spot at your waist and went all out, pinching and squeezing until all your words melted into laughter. No matter how hard you tried to free yourself, he was too heavy, and those ribbons were far stronger than you expected them to be. The bells on them jingled mockingly every time you tried to bring your hands back down, almost laughing at you as you became a puddle of giggles.
“You really do work too hard, starlight. You need to relax more. Laugh more! I’m just helping you is all~” He hummed, dancing his fingers over your sides and ribs.
“Bullshihihit! You just wanna tihihickle me!” You argued back, jumping at every poke.
“Then maybe you should stop acting like you wanna be tickled.” He teased. “That was an awful hiding spot.”
“S-shut uhuhup!”
Your words were lost again as he dug his nails into your hips, heavy breaths and broken laughter pouring out of you. He was definitely enjoying this more than he let on, adoring the way your cheeks went bright pink while you tried to hide behind your secured arms. Eventually you had laughed all the fight out of you, just lying there and taking it with weak little twists and strings of giggles whenever he worked his nails into the sensitive grooves at your hips. Only when you started to hiccup with unsteady breaths did he grant you some grace, not wanting you to pass out.
Moon started to lightly trace his fingers over your tummy instead, allowing you to catch your breath as your laughter died down to quiet giggles. He had to sneak in a little squeeze here and there just because, but soon let you breathe and watched you with a smirk on his face.
“I win~”
“By cheating!” You huffed, your chest still heaving. “You broke the rules, nerd.”
“Rules are meant to be broken, starlight~”
“Why you- ooo I’m gonna get you back one day. Mark my words Moon. Now untie me you hooligan.” You said.
He laughed at your threat but agreed to untying you, freeing your wrists and replacing the ribbon on his own. Now that you were free, you reached up and gave him a firm but gentle smack on his forehead. He would’ve been offended if you didn’t immediately slide your hand down to caress his cheek, looking at him with loving eyes that said ‘thank you’ with brows that were no longer furrowed.
“Thanks for the break. I really needed that. You have no idea how many misplaced semicolons there were that I had to fix.” You sighed, rubbing your thumb on his cheek.
“Ooooh, changed your mind on being afraid of me now huh?” He hummed, pulling you up into his lap.
“I was never afraid of you, bozo. I was simply indulging in your game of hide and seek.”
You had softened completely, leaning into the warm padding on his palms while he held you close. You could’ve stayed like this forever really, but there was still maintenance to be done on the server. The break was very much appreciated, and at least now you could get back on it with a clearer mind.
“As much as I like sitting here with you, I do have to keep watch and fix things on the server. You’re gonna have to let me go, Moony.” You sighed.
“Give me a kiss and I’ll take you back up~” He requested.
“As you wish, your highness.”
He was cheeky, but you were a sucker for him anyway. You gave his head a little tug and brought him in a little closer to plant a kiss on his lips. The hybrid material still buzzed with static, your kisses always affecting him so dramatically no matter how hard he tried to play it off. With hearts in his eyes he leaned into you, ever grateful that you were the one to weasel your way into his circuits.
“Will that suffice, moonpie?” You asked once you leaned back.
“It will indeed.” He nodded, a little glitch in his lovestruck voice.
He finished by picking you up with him off the floor and walking you back out of the play structure’s underside. The fly line was still where you left it, and he used it to bring you back up to work while holding you tightly. He was a lot mushier when he knew he’d have to give you up for work duties, but neither of you minded at all. These sides of yourselves were more than welcome within the privacy of the daycare when he was yours, and you were his.

Summary:
"Running diagnostics. . .Systems all up and ready to go. No misplacements or reconstruction needed. Model RK800, serial #313 248 317 at your service." His voice came exactly as you wanted, calm and soothing. Perfect for a negotiator. You were in disbelief.
"It, it worked. . . hi."
"Scanning. . . Dr.(Y/N), creator assisted by a sliver of blueprints that were left by Dr. Kamski in your care at the time of his retirement. Hello, what do you need Model RK800(-51) to do for you?" Perhaps a little cold and detached too, but what did you expect?
You smiled gently, fiddling with the coin in your hand. "That's not necessary. . .and that model number doesn't really roll off the tongue. I shall name you."
"Very well, although I would like to remind you that I am a prototype and that I am not a living being that is needed to be called by something. Ready to accept name."

Monthly system checkups had come once again. It was always a joy, because you saved the best for last every single time: Sun and Moon. As your partners, you naturally wanted to attend to them last so you could spend the most time with them without being chastised for it. It was the perfect excuse, and no one questioned it. You got to ensure that your favourite boys were in perfect working order without interruption and sneak in a few smooches here and there between different diagnostics checks.
During this particular checkup though, you noticed a couple oddities like missing connections that came back online every once in a while. There was unstable wiring somewhere, so you spent a little extra time running your hands along some of Sunny’s creases in his casing to push back any wires sticking out and reconnect any that were faulty. You did this until all connections were stable again, but there was one small side effect. Every time you got too close to some vital points to fix his wiring, Sun would giggle uncontrollably. Admittedly, it was adorable, and you couldn’t stop your own smile.
“Sunny, my sweet, I’m barely touching you!” You snorted.
“I-I know! I’m just really sensitive is all. M-my settings are higher than Moon’s.” He said through his giggles.
You drew your hands back and huffed, having finished with the faulty wiring anyway. He really was the most adorable thing on this planet to you. Who else would giggle up a storm during a diagnostics check?
“I can decrease the sensitivity if you want, you know that right? It’s just one little click of a button!” You offered, already pulling up the program with the settings.
“O-oh! No, no you don’t have to! I don’t really mind actually. I… Like the sensation.” He admitted, touching the tips of his fingers together nervously.
“Really?” You grinned. “That is the cutest thing I’ve heard all day~. Would you mind if I continued?”
He shook his head 'no' while a blush started to bloom across his cheeks. Even the whirr of his fans could be heard now, truly flustered by your offer. He was genuinely such a sweet sight to see, so much that you couldn’t help your smile as you disconnected him from your laptop. You wouldn’t want those pesky wires of yours getting in the way of your dancing fingers.
Without further hesitation you continued your innocent little tickle attack on Sun, causing him to tip over from how much he was giggling. Once toppled to the floor you took your place on top of him and began to gently poke and drag your fingers across his sides. It wasn’t long before he was in stitches, not even trying to fight back. He let you scratch teasingly at all his unique little spots and seams, trying his best not to throw you off of him while he squirmed and laughed at every touch.
“I-it tihihickles! S-stahahap~!”
“Of course it does Sunny~! Didn’t you ask for this?” You chuckled.
“N-nahaha~”
He really seemed to enjoy it despite his giggly protests, so you indulged in it further by swirling the pads of your fingers over his tummy over and over again until the poor guy sputtered with laughter. There were some glitches in his voice the harder he laughed, covering his face once he was aware of the silly noises he was making. Even so he enjoyed it all the same, happy to be close to you. His laughter really was the cutest, so you drew forth more by playfully dragging your thumbs along the hem of his pants and into his hips before you finally granted him some peace and ceased your tickles.
You slid your hands up his body to eventually bring them to rest on either of his cheeks, pushing past his hands to caress him sweetly while you stared down at him with a smile. The glitches in his voice box had finally settled down, and he returned your gaze with a wobbly little smile of his own.
“You’re the cutest thing alive, you know that right?” You cooed, rubbing your thumb over one of his cheeks.
“A-alive? You consider me.. Alive?” Sun questioned.
“Of course! You think for yourself. I’m in love with you for many reasons, and last time I checked you were also in love with me too. Love can only be felt by things that are very much alive and well, so I’d hope to god you’re both alive and in love with me still.”
“I do! I do love you lots, _______.” He nodded.
“Then you and your glitchy little giggles are indeed alive. You are so adorable Sunny~”
He blushed violently, his rays fluttering a little as you leaned down to seal your words with a kiss. Oh how overjoyed he was to be in love with someone like you, always there to reassure him of his sentience when he felt otherwise. Being close to you was wonderful, and he hoped to have more silly little playful encounters with you after checkups in the future. With a kind soul like you as his partner, he wouldn’t mind at all.
Description: Moon admires you oh so much. He just wishes he had more time to spend doing said admiring. Well, when there is no time, you make some. Even if it goes against your schedule.

All you wanted to do was finish the job you had your mind set on right now. Unfortunately, a certain someone was making that a little more difficult than it needed to be. Moon of course, being the grand lunk he was, loomed over you as you worked. You tried your best to ignore him while you wrote your lines of code, but the glow of his eyes over your shoulder slowly began to make it harder and harder to do. For a bot that most were scared of, he was incredibly lovey. Only with you of course. You were his special someone.
You let out little grunts of protest every time he changed which shoulder he hung over to let him know you were trying to take your job seriously, but he soon got bored of waiting for you to finish. As slowly as he could, Moon tried to sneak you into his lap, gently sliding you out of the chair you sat on whenever you looked like you wouldn’t notice. The moment your right leg left the chair though, you knew what he was up to. With a sigh you turned to face him, and he froze up in an attempt to look inconspicuous or like he was doing anything else but try to drag you from your work.
“Moon, I know what you’re doing.” You sighed.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about, starlight.” He denied.
“Moonie, I love you, but I really have to get this done. This is part of an update you’re going to be receiving too, y’know.”
“Tsk, and I really have to spend some time admiring your beauty. My job is just as important as yours~” He insisted, knowing he’d been caught.
“What? You like staring at me that much huh?” You teased.
“I do~”
“Hah, weirdo.”
“Oh how rude! You will be punished for that now. I can’t let you get away with that~” He told you, now fully giving up on his facade.
Moon wasted no time and scooped you up out of your chair and into his arms. Despite your yelp, he held you close in bridal style and carried you out of your office, ignoring all your protests.
“Moon! C’mon, they’re gonna fire me if I don’t get that done!” You tried to argue.
“First of all, they can’t. You’re the head programmer. You’re the reason this place even stays together, so they can’t fire you. Second of all, I know damn well that code isn’t due until the end of the month. You always overwork yourself, starlight.” He argued back.
“... s-so?”
“And third of all, if anyone higher up tries to make you leave, they’ll have to get through me first~” He cackled.
“Moon please don’t threaten management.” You sighed.
“I don’t hear you telling me that it wouldn’t though~” He hummed.
“... Ugh, fine, you’re right. I am working on it earlier than I should be, and they absolutely cannot fire me. You are painfully correct about that one. They can’t afford to get rid of me.” You finally agreed.
“Seeee~? That’s my girl~. I’m glad you know your worth.” He praised as he carried you back through the daycare doors.
“Moon stooop!” You whined, pressing a hand to your head. “I don’t handle praise well dummy.”
“That’s half the fun though~. You’re so cute when you’re flustered, my sweet moonbeam.” He hummed. “I will admire you as much as I please, and you can’t stop me!”
Moon threw himself down into a pile of foam blocks with you, earning yet another yelp from the inertia. Once he settled within the foam, he cradled you sweetly, his fans kicking into high gear; so much that it almost sounded like purring. He was indeed quite happy to have you with him, so perhaps it wasn’t too bad of an idea to halt your project for now.
“You need to appreciate yourself a little more, starlight. So, until you do, I’ll be here to do it for you. And to make sure you don’t overwork yourself. You do that too much.” Moon mumbed.
“Oh Moon…”
“Don’t ‘oh Moon’ me, you little devil. Let me admire you in peace. Let me stay with you until the dawn, because I’m sick of losing your attention to another computer.” He admitted, his pupils flickering to the shape of little hearts.
“Oh come now. You’re not another computer. You’re my dearest Moon; nothing and no one could ever compare to you.” You sighed, settling against his chest. “You are indeed right though. I don’t have to finish that code right now. I’ll stay here with you, silly.”
“Mmm, that’s what I like to hear~” He hummed.
Moon purred happily once he heard your words, pulling you up to smother you with as many kisses as he possibly could. It wasn’t long until you were a giggling mess, his hands having done as much admiring as his eyes had. Both of you snuggled up close amidst the piles of foam bricks, exchanging kisses and cuddling until fatigue washed over you. A little nap wouldn’t hurt, so you took one without second thought, happily wrapped in Moon’s arms.
A/N: I have been d y i n g to get this out. I'm excited to start this silly little slow burn.
Description: It's upgrade day, and as the lead software tech you get to do it all yourself. This means being up close with the animatronics, which in turn means you get to see your favourite. Things are a little different though, and some feelings... they begin to bloom.
Boy, was it nice to be back as the head programmer of the Pizzaplex. After the ‘incident’ you were graciously rehired as head of the programming and software development team under the Fazbear Entertainment name. They gave you such a high position due to your skill and loyalty to the company prior to the fire, which meant that you got to work up close and personal with the animatronics on a daily basis. There were green flags all around for you, not a single downside in sight. You got to watch their AI develop further in real time, release knowledge limiters, and receive triple the original pay you initially had. You may be the only one there to protect the entire building’s internet and tech security, but with the numbers you pulled in every day you barely minded the mound of responsibility you carried with you.
Of course being the head of tech development, you had to install all the major updates to the animatronics yourself, which allowed you to have some interesting interactions. These animatronics were so far advanced now that you recognized their sentience and released the knowledge limiters on all of them to allow them to learn, grow, and feel to the best of their ability. It was a questionable choice at first, but the advancements had appeased everyone higher up, so you got away with doing it even though you never asked. The mental state of the animatronics was your responsibility alone now, so messing up was no longer an option. The rewards were far greater than the risk though, so you carried on without a doubtful thought, the reward of befriending all the animatronics having the highest appeal of all.
They were all truly wonderful. The originally programmed personality traits surprisingly stayed, but each animatronic grew alongside that trait in their own unique way. You admittedly had favourites when it came to them, as much as you loved them all. Monty was a really cool dude, and Roxy was almost like your girlfriend at this point; hell, they all radiated chaotic friend group energy with how much time you spent around them instead of coworkers. One animatronic in particular though had your eyes, and he was your favourite. Sun and Moon had all your attention, both from a programming perspective, and a personal one. He was the closest with you in the entire Pizzaplex, even defeating all human staff in terms of who you liked the most. You did get roasted for it a little, but you didn’t care. The up close and personal moments you had with these quirky animatronics were deeply cherished by you regardless of what anyone else thought.
More up close and personal interactions like that were headed your way today, as it was a busy day indeed for you. Yesterday was day one of the animatronic update schedule. Day one was dedicated to mechanical and physical upgrades: something outside of your realm by a smidge. The animatronics got a complete overhaul for more flattering cosmetics and functions like touch sensors and more animated expressions. All of them could move smoothly and had a wider range of emotes, making them damn near human to you. Now it was day two though, and that was your day and time to shine. Day two was dedicated to software upgrades, repairs, and antivirus protection, which was all your territory. You were the best tech there, and your schedule was full to the brim with an appointment for each animatronic to be serviced by you.
God how you hated being right though. It was exhausting to be working from animatronic to animatronic for several hours on end. As delightful as it was to shoot the shit with a bear and a wolf, your eyes were strained and sore from eyeing your laptop all day running diagnostics and installing better security software. The process was long sometimes, usually depending on how distracted the animatronic was that you were working on. Chica was one of the longer ones, having to be constantly reminded that her daydreams about food slowed down the installation process. As the hours went on by though and you neared the end, you only had two animatronics left. The one you were headed to now was your favourite, and you dragged your feet as enthusiastically as you could to the daycare to see your favourite little sunshine.
“Sun, you’re up now!” You called out once you entered the daycare from a maintenance door.
It was silent for a moment, but you knew he’d be running to greet you from the highest point in the room. You simply set up your laptop near an outlet a little ways into the daycare and waited, Sun soon coming on cue by flying out his room’s window directly at you.
“Oh _______! You’re finally here!” He cheered, skidding across the floor and right into you. “I’ve been waiting all DAY!”
“Hahah, I can tell by your excitement!” You laughed as he smothered you in a hug.
“So warm and soft~ I knew my little sunshine would be the best to hug~” He sang.
“Aaah, you got the touch sensor upgrade yesterday I see! Working well then I presume.” you giggled. “I also see the physical upgrades are working wonderfully as well. You’re so expressive and even cuter than before Sunny~!”
“Awwww stop~! You’re embarrassing me!”
“Aaah, I knew you were my favourite for a reason~. Now as lovely as your hugs are Sunny, you gotta let go so I can work on you please.” You reminded him.
“Right! Right, sorry~”
He reluctantly let you go and sat himself down the way he always did when you worked on him. Perhaps Sun was your favourite because he was always the most compliant, but then again, his other half combatted that compliance every single time. He was a fun one, so mayhaps that was the reasoning for your favouritism, but it could also be something else. Regardless, you shook the thought from your mind and popped open the panel at the back of his head and got to work.
“Alright this may tingle a bit Sunny, so bear with me while I- hold on… There’s a… sticky note inside you.”
You peeled the little yellow paper off the inside of the panel you opened up and squinted at it. You knew that handwriting by heart.
“Chad…” You grumbled, scrunching up the paper.
“Oh dear… Did he leave a note inside me yesterday? What did it say?” Sun asked.
“Ugh, it said ‘I hope you enjoy tinkering around inside your favourite animatronic, bozo’.” You repeated to him. “That man is going to end up dead by my hand I swear to god.”
“So that’s why he was back there.” Sun mused.
“I’d say shock him, but he would know I asked you to do it and get me a damn write up.” You chuckled. “Though I don’t think Moon would have a problem with that plan…”
“He is eagerly agreeing with you, I promise you that.” Sun chuckled. “But was Chad right? Am I really your favourite so much that everyone knows now?”
You groaned in embarrassment, softened by the innocent smile he flashed at you that led to your admittance. “Yes Sunny, you and Moon are my favourites.”
He hummed happily, the sound of his processor kicking all it’s cores in making you laugh a little. You didn’t need him to tell you he was excited by the way he lit up in pink with glee. They clearly added some extra light features to him, the image of him blushing now a pleasant memory you would hold onto.
With that out of the way you continued on with your updates and connected Sun to your computer, running a general diagnostic on him and installing some new security software. There had been recent hack attacks on the facility, so you wanted to make sure all animatronics would be protected from any future attacks. You took a few minutes to ensure everything was up and running properly before running a test scan of the software, which led to an interesting discovery.
“Hmm, there’s malware…” You mumbled to yourself.
“M-malware? Oh dear, am I broken?!” Sun fretted.
“Oh no not at all. It’s unopened actually, and locked behind Moon’s activation. My software is good, but apparently not good enough to bypass your duality, my friend. I’m going to need Moon to be present for me to deal with this bug, and to install the same software into his protocols as well.”
“Ah, I understand.” He said slowly. “Though… I do worry that Moon will try to hurt you…”
“Don’t worry about me, Sunny. I know how to handle him in my own special way.” You reassured him, coming around to make eye contact. “He wouldn’t dare to hurt me anyway~”
Comforted by your confidence, Sun’s smile returned and he nodded happily to agree. With his consent obtained, you reached out and flicked off the nearby light switch.
It was always an interesting sight to see him swap out, but with the new physical upgrades it was even more interesting to witness. Sun’s little sun rays tucked away inside his head and out popped the usual nightcap atop his now dimmed features, his body giving a little shudder as the ever confusing anomaly of his clothing changing colour took place. His eyes whited out, then went dim, before little red pupils faded in and Moon was fully present.
“Turning the lights out on me eh~? Do you wanna get in trouble~?”
“Shut the hell up and don’t even think about standing up, Moony. You’re still wired into my laptop.” You said firmly with crossed arms.
Moon was quite shocked by your forward denial of his usual intimidation tactics. You were very much not having it today, and that took him aback. He didn’t even try to budge now as you walked back around to your laptop behind him, figuring it would be best to not mess with you to the usual extent today.
“Thank you for deciding to listen for once.”
“Tch. I only want the bug removed that I heard about.” He grumbled.
“Mhmm. Sure. Or, you’re shocked that I'm several animatronics deep in software updates and I ain’t taking no shit today.” you chuckled, leaning around him to shoot him a cocky glance. “Don’t worry, I’d be shocked by me too.”
“Well aren’t you a cocky little one today aren’t ya?” He laughed.
“Damn straight. Now stop thinking so hard so I can get a faster response rate on this malware. I wanna remove it without accidentally opening it.”
“Go right on ahead.”
You went ahead with the same installation you did on Sun, which went much faster thanks to parts of the program being shared. Once it was in, you were able to get a proper look at the malware type and found it to be an older one that was implanted well before the incident occurred. It was an old attempt at a take over that hid dormant in Moon’s programming, but it would be there no longer, nor ever run again. You terminated the file and removed all other security threats to leave him with a pristine and secure system. No further issues were detected, so you unhooked him from your computer and closed the back panel, closing your laptop with a satisfied sigh.
You came around Moon now to give him a thumbs up. “You’re all set bud. No further malicious files. You’re well protected by my software now.”
“Mmm. Thank you then. Perhaps I will be more efficient in ensuring people get their sleep. More efficient with punishment.” He said, flexing some slightly different voice modifications to sound more menacing with a wide spread grin.
“Ahah! You and your punishment.” You laughed. “You’re about as scary as a kitten when your only punishment tactics are tickling and pillow fights!”
The way you laughed in the moment made him pause, forgetting that he was still trying to act tough. His eyes flickered a little, fading into blue from red as he stared blankly at you with a staticky feeling running through his sensors and circuits.
“Hey, are your eyes alright Moon?” You asked, stepping in real close to him with your hands on his face.
“M-my eyes?! What do you mean?” He questioned frantically.
“They flickered a little. Also, they’re blue. I doubt the colour change is an issue though, I’m more concerned about the flickering. As much as I hate Chad, maybe you should head down to parts and services to replace the LEDs if they need to be.”
You were practically touching noses with the way you examined him, making a soft blue glow flare up on the highest points of his cheeks: another interesting feature that you would be sure to hold onto in the depths of your memory. His eyes no longer flickered, so you deemed things to be alright for the moment and let slip a breathy chuckle as you backed away from him.
“Well, you seem to be fine for now. If you notice any ocular issues don’t be afraid to go to parts and services. Chad may be a dickhead but he’ll keep you in working order.”
“R-right. Will do. Now are you done here?” He muttered.
“Yeppers! I need to see to pack up though so I’m gonna turn the lights back on. That alright with you?” You asked once more.
“Go for it. It’s clearly not your bedtime anyway.”
You scoffed and smiled, always amused by his passion for rest. With a gentle shake of your head you rocked backwards and flipped the light back on, still thinking about that light blue tint as the sun beams popped back out and the bright yellows returned to the warm face before you that now glowed pink instead. The excitable Sun was back and lurched forward like it was his turn to inspect you now, pulling you in closer to him.
“You’re alright! Moon wasn’t mean, was he?”
“Not at all! Well, he tried to be, but I’m completely unfazed by the two of you. You’re both my favourite for a reason~” You nodded, patting Sunny’s cheek. “I’ve gotta pack up now though. I still have one more friend of ours to service today.”
“Leaving so soon? Ughhhh fine! But promise to come back when you’re done!” He begged as he let you go.
“I can’t promise I’ll make it, but I promise I’ll try.” You smiled, packing your things up.
“Good enough for me! So, who is your last visit?”
“The DJ! He has several additional programs I need to run through so I saved him for last. It’s gonna be a hefty update.”
“Oh fun! I wish you luck then sunshine~!” Sun waved, watching you go with your bag slung over your shoulder.
“Thanks~!” You sang back at him before jogging out the employees only exit door.
Once you were gone and Sun was left to sit by himself, his processor started firing off all cores again as his mind buzzed with thoughts about you. Moon had himself initialized in the background, thinking the same thoughts and coming up with questions he never thought he’d have to ask himself or Sun.
“Sun… Do we… like her?” Moon asked tentatively.
Sun blushed at the thoughts, a small grin resting on his features. “Hmm? Well.. I do! Do you?”
“... Maybe? I think… I think that is what I am feeling right now.” Moon confided.
“Oh what a relief! Then please don’t try to scare her! We want her to like us too!” Sun then scolded.
Oh come on it’s all lighthearted fun! She even said herself that we’re her favourite. I doubt anything I do would be enough for her to swap departments.” Moon argued, rather unwilling to give up his habits.
The two sat in silence for a moment, not provoking any further thought on the matter until they both calmed down and settled on one thought in particular, a mechanical sigh exiting Sun in unison with Moon in his frontal circuits.
“We definitely like her a lot…”
After muttering their agreement, Moon put himself into sleep mode to process and allow Sun to continue his basic work without interruption. Sun skipped around happily while running your image though his mind, casually cleaning and preparing for further activities that were to take place tomorrow morning.
In the meantime, as you wandered through maintenance halls still exhausted out of your mind despite that uplifting experience with Sun and Moon, your own mind wandered as well. Thoughts you normally would have reserved for some suitor of an appropriate type came out for something else instead. You had to stop for a moment once you reached the west arcade and pat your chest, letting out a long sigh while you held your hand there in a poor attempt to still your beating heart.
“Oh boy… Girl you are not falling in love with an animatronic are you?” You asked yourself with dry laughter.
Your heart rate did not slow. Your Fazwatch displayed a consistent 120 beats per minute even as you stared it down. A weak smile came onto your lips, as if you knew this would be something you’d have to accept sooner or later.
“You are…” You huffed. “Keep it to yourself for now hun. You still have your job to do. Focus. Deal with your weird emotions later.”
After your self scolding you pressed on to DJ Music Man, the giant animatronic casually lounging in a high up tunnel. He saw you when you waved and tunneled his way down to you where you met him on the stage, ready to get started on the biggest update of the day. Your thoughts were pushed back down while you climbed atop the DJ to get going with the installations, simply trying to forget you were feeling things long enough to finish the job.

Finally, a day where you worked normal hours. It was just easy going, barely after hours in the peace of the Plex. Well, at least as much peace as there could be in a place like this. It was only seven at night on a Monday, so it was a nice period of time where things were at the peak of winding down, kids had gone home, performances were over, and you could work openly with the bots on the floor wherever you pleased. It was perfect for today, since you wanted to get to work on some of the slightly glitchy STAFF bots.
You wandered with your tablet, scanning every bot you passed to see if it was fine and in order. Luckily, most of them were, but here and there you’d come across a less than functional bot you’d have to put back on track. For a while it was as simple as that, but as you went down more and more floors you found more and more dysfunctional bots to deal with, almost like a trail. There were so many at one point you didn’t even bother to try and fix them after a while, only scanning to find out why the concentration of broken bots got worse and worse the further you went.
“What in the hell…” You muttered to yourself.
Pushing past the bots now, all of them seemed to have an issue. You weren’t really aware of where exactly you had gone, just knowing that it probably hadn’t been accessed in a while. It was gross, dark, and you weren’t even familiar with it despite knowing the layout like the back of your hand. Investigating further really solidified that some weird shit was going on down here, because when you pushed open a door to check out why everything over here had a glitch of some sort you encountered the freakiest casings.
Inside that room were dozens of STAFF bots, but the glow of their eyes was fractured and way too bright, covered in a cracked dirty casing painted crudely with slashes over the eye sockets. It would usually be funny, but the sheer number of booths was a bit jarring, not to mention the way they all turned to face you in unison like you were a threat.
“Oh that ain’t good.” You mumbled.
It was like you triggered them. Your voice sent the entire room of crooked looking bots lunging at you. The situation felt oddly familiar, but you couldn’t focus on that right now. Dodging through the sea of bots was getting increasingly difficult so none of your thoughts were clear. They slowed you down so much that one of the persistent deranged bots actually got to you when you fell and caught yourself on a table. It swung at your head full force and hit you straight on, knocking you to the ground.
It would’ve knocked you out if it weren’t for your rapid heart rate, pushing 150 beats per minute and pulling you from the black void that tried to take over your vision. Running on pure adrenaline you fought against the concussion you surely had and stumbled back to your feet to run as far away as you could. The bots were thinning again so you could maneuver better, dragging yourself around to a tipped over collection bin to hide in case you passed out. At least one or two bots were still after you, so hiding was your only option. You hoped they’d piss off soon enough before you blacked out for real.
Meanwhile, you weren’t the only one aware of how fast your heart rate was. Beyond the walls, Sun was minding his own business until a ping in his system made him feel off, and have the need to check on you. He technically had access to all employee files and current Fazwatch stats, so he immediately checked yours to go along with that bad feeling. It was a damn good idea he checked, because you would’ve been in deeper shit if he didn’t.
After collecting the readings of your location, heart rate, and condition through the advanced data collection in the watch, Sun panicked. Moon also panicked. This mutual panic had them running out of the daycare and down the halls of the Plex, morphing with every elongated step until Eclipse took form once again. The emergency protocol was activated, and they ran at incredible speeds, flinging themselves down the nearest stairwell to reach your position.
Both of you were thankful to have acted on that strange instinct, your position being pinpointed within minutes. Eclipse threw themselves down the hall and off walls, avoiding you to keep you away from harm before going off on those off kilter STAFF bots that still wheeled around in the hall looking for you. The heads of all hostile ones were ripped off one by one until the halls became quiet once again, allowing Eclipse to turn their attention to you now. Their focus shifted from vengeful to concerned on a dime as they approached where you hid, carefully moving the bin so they could get to you.
“It’s alright starshine. You’re safe now.” They spoke as softly as they could.
“Huh. Holy hell. How’d you know I needed help?” You questioned in disbelief.
“Heart rate.”
“Ah. Boy, I'm glad you have access to our files. That’s pretty handy for when a dumbass like me is getting murked by a four foot robot.” You snorted.
The movement from your laughter was enough to make you dizzy, tipping forward where you sat. Eclipse moved in to catch you before you kissed the concrete, pulling you up into their arms.
“You have a concussion. Don’t exert yourself.” Eclipse warned.
“Considering the hit I took to the head, I wouldn’t doubt I am.” You huffed in response.
Eclipse seemed upset with the fact that you were so casual about your state. You really didn’t know how bad you actually were, whereas they had a full scan on your current condition that had them concerned. You assumed so when you were met with silence, realizing you may not be as okay as you felt. Instead their grip tightened on you, picking you up to speed walk you out of the grungy base level halls.
“Eclipse… I’m sorry. I don’t mean to be so uncaring towards myself.” You sighed.
“... It’s fine, starshine. Just… What were you doing down there?”
“I don’t know. I followed a trail of busted bots and lost track of myself. I’ve never been there before. I didn’t even know it existed.” You explained.
“Those halls haven’t been disturbed in years…”
“I am definitely sticking my nose in business I don’t belong in. You can count me out of ever poking around there again.” You sighed.
“Rightfully so. I’ll do some digging on that area out of curiosity, but another time. You need rest. Now.” They insisted.
“No objections here.”
You relaxed in their grip as you were carried back up to the daycare. Eclipse maintained their form the entire trip, shielding you from the bright lights whenever they passed through lit halls. You winced from the even harsher daycare light, Eclipse tucking you away from it as they leapt up to their room where it was dark and you could relax. You sighed with relief when they set you down in a pile of pillows and blankets, melting into the plush material.
“Thank you. But, you might wanna check for any more of those crusty bots. There was… a lot down there. They should be destroyed.” You said quietly.
“I agree. Do not move. I will be back, starshine.” Eclipse nodded.
He didn’t have to tell you twice. With an affectionate glance Eclipse left to finish off the rest of those rogue bots. Left alone in the peace of the darkness, you ended up falling asleep, the damage that was done to you having finally caught up. The rest was much needed, enjoying the slumber while Eclipse worked on removing the latest threat from the building.
It only took them half an hour to finish the job, returning to the daycare to find you fast asleep. Now that you were safe, there was no reason to be on high alert. They wanted to maintain form though, so upon returning they dimmed the lights up a little before coming up next to you. They sat down, watching your curled up form with a content expression. You were safe, and that mattered the most.
His presence seemed to have alerted you somehow though, and you stirred when you felt the pillows shift next to you. You opened your eyes just enough to see them, and reached out making grabby hands as indication for them to come down to your level. They did so, being pulled down into the pillows to cuddle with you.
“Stay here with me. Everything hurts and you’ll make it easier to stay asleep.” You mumbled, holding tight to their arm.
“Of course, starshine.”
You got comfy once again, pleased to have Eclipse by your side. You were able to stay asleep this time, mumbling in your tired state about how Eclipse was your savior. They blushed softly, happy to have thought to dim the lights. This moment was to be enjoyed; relieved that you were alright, and happy to be your savior.
Description: More hacking issues means more work. Sunny is delighted when you tell him you'll be staying over for a couple nights for work. He's just a little sad that you're well... doing your job. And not getting rest. Moon is pretty upset about your lack of initiative to sleep too. You eventually pass out, with a little comfort to aid you.
Things were getting bad again. Not between you and anyone, but with work and hacking. The attempts on breaching the security systems of the Pizzaplex grew more and more frequent with the passing days, meaning you had to be on your toes constantly, watching out for another attack. You had to be at work more, which excited Sun a lot, but you were unfortunately always busy. Almost all your working hours were spent on the creation of a new security software for the main server room to stop the attacks, which displeased your favourite little Sun and Moon. None of your time was spent with either of them, even on your breaks, but luckily you would bring them some delightful news today.
“Sunny! You in here?” You called out in the daycare after hours.
“Oh _______! You’re finally here! I thought I’d never see you all WEEK!” Sun cried out, swinging out from around a corner to greet you with a bone crushing hug.
“Oof! Tight hugger!” You laughed. “This will surely cheer you up then. I’ll be staying over the weekend!”
“Really?!” Sun asked with stars in his eyes.
“Mhmm! They’re increasing my pay if I can get new security software up and running before Monday because the attacks are getting so bad, so they gave me permission to stay over the weekend and keep working until it’s done. It’s commission based, so as long as I get the job done I get the bonus pay! That way I can spend a little bit of time messing around with you and not get in trouble. Plus, you’ll be safer!” You explained.
“Aw yes~! This is exciting!” Sun cheered. “But that means… You’ll still be working a lot…”
“Yes, I may be working a lot, but I came by to ask you if I could set up camp in your room for when I sleep and while I work. That way I can still hang out with ya, and get my work done!”
“Oh yes of course! We really are your favourite aren’t we~?” Sun hummed.
“You are indeed, Sunny.” You laughed. “So! Shall we get me set up for the night? I still have a lot of work to get started on, and I wanna get the bulk of it done now.”
“Yes, yes, let’s go! I’ll take you to our room, where it’s comfiest~!”
Sun led you to his room the safe way up a few flights of stairs while you lugged your bag of tech with you. When you got up there, you found it to be the coziest looking place ever. You’d never been up here before, so you took in the cozy sight of stars hanging from the ceiling with pillows and bean bag chairs strewn across the floor. There was a hammock in the corner, right next to some more bean bag chairs and a more freeing charge station; something new implemented so animatronics wouldn’t feel so robotic. You assumed that’s where either of them went to rest while charging, Moon in the bean bag chairs or Sun in the hammock with the cord tucked away neatly to allow looser charging while they went into sleep mode or just cleaned their space. That corner was also the only corner with strong enough outlets for your work, so you looked up at Sun with a guilty smile and prepared to bargain.
“Lovely place you’ve got here Sunny boy. The only catch is… Would you mind if I set up in your sleeping corner? I know you charge there, but the outlet type I need is only in that corner. You wouldn’t mind if I invaded your sleeping space for a couple nights, would you?” You asked.
“Of course not! Go right ahead! I would love to watch you work while I charge anyway~” Sun nodded. “Neither of us mind your company, so you don’t even need to ask, sunshine~. Though… Moon might have a few words for you if you take his favourite bean bag chair…”
“Hoo! That’s a relief then.” You smiled. “I’ll set up on the floor so you don’t have to worry about me taking anyone’s spot. A fair warning though: I will be starting work immediately. The bulk of work needs to happen now, and the faster I get it done the more time I can spend with you!”
Sun nodded enthusiastically with a smile as wide as the horizon. “It’s a deal for me~! I still have a lot to clean up from today’s kiddos, so I won’t be too sad… for now.”
“Do you need one more bone crushing hug to make you feel better before I get started?” You snickered.
Sun’s rays fluttered a little, a hopeless grin giving away his answer. You laughed loudly at how fast he switched between being all over you and too shy to say yes, so you dropped your bag and took a running leap up at him into his arms, your legs wrapped around his torso while you squished him as hard as his casing would let you. Sun responded in turn by hugging you just as tight, his face heating up again while your cheek squished into his chest.
“You good now Sunny bunny?” You asked, liking the hug a little more than you thought.
“I’m always good when you’re around, sunshine!” He laughed.
“Perfect~! I’ll get started now. Good luck cleaning!” You said as you let go of him.
“Thank you!”
With reluctance of course, Sun eventually let you go. He sprang off out the main ‘window’ of his room and down below to the ball pit with a grand clattering of plastic balls. The sounds of him wading out of the pit made you laugh a little before you picked up your things once again and started to set yourself up in the corner to get to work. You had a lot of setup left to go still, after all.
Once hooked up to power you started typing away at around 8pm, two laptops sitting before you while you finished the creation of yet another new piece of software. You ran through the lines of code for nearly four hours, always finding at least one thing out of place or a misplaced semicolon here or there. It was obnoxious, but soon you had the new program up and running smoothly. You then installed malicious software onto the second laptop you had to simulate an attack and connected your good laptop with the software still running. You monitored the activity closely until you had a successful test run, sighing with relief now that your hours of labor had produced something effective. No software you produced would be as good as you though, so you hoped that it would at least be enough to slow down or stop the attacks.
You had spent so much time on the program that it was nearly midnight, and Sun came back inside to see you snacking on a cookie while running the last few diagnostics for the program. He knew you hadn’t even bothered to take a nap yet, and grew concerned for your current state.
“Sunbeam, you haven’t slept yet?” Sun greeted you.
“Hmm? Oh! No, I’ve been developing this new program for the server room. No time to sleep tonight.” You replied nonchalantly. “In fact, I was just about to run down to the server room and install it to see if it’s effective. Would you care to come with me?”
“Mmm… I’ll ignore the fact that you haven’t slept only because the power cycle starts soon and I know Moon will give you enough trouble.” Sun sighed.
“Eheh, you’re right. He will.” You laughed sheepishly. “Sorry~”
“He will also be the one guiding you, since the cycle will start-” Sun started, but cut off when all the lights shut down.
“Now~” Moon’s voice finished, the changeover being a rather quick one, almost like he was excited to be out.
“Now that is incredible timing.” You chuckled. “Good evening, Moon. Care to guide me to the server room? I really don’t wanna be pestered by map bots tonight.”
“That depends. Will you actually sleep when you’re done?”
“Yes. I promise.”
“Hmph. I’ll believe you for now. Let’s go.” He said, satisfied with your answer.
“Thanks Moony~”
Your sing song voice always captivated him. He watched you snatch up one of your laptops before bounding back to his side, still as eager as you were when Sun was present. He liked it. For a change, he liked having someone around that wasn’t completely mortified of him despite his enthusiastic nature for nap time and lower toned voice. You were also the only one who has ever flat out defied him and gotten away with it. You were certainly a special one.
“Alright moonbeam, let’s go.” He said, holding open the back door for you.
“Moonbeam?” You paused.
“W-what?”
“Huh, I like it~. I never would have pinned you as someone to use nicknames, but this one I like~” You grinned, an undeniable blush rising on your cheeks.
“Ugh shut up and walk.” Moon groaned.
You snorted and decided not to press him further, not wanting to end up on his bad side. You still smirked up at him though and thought about how much more laid back he was around you. The thought that both of them might actually like you beyond just a friendly employee burned stronger in the back of your mind, but you snuffed it out quickly so you could focus on your job. That nickname would stick with you for a long time though. It wouldn’t be forgotten any time soon.
Moon guided you through the Pizzaplex when you finally made it down the flight of stairs, glances from him alone being enough to shoo away the map bots and make the trip much faster. The fact that they insisted maps upon staff as much as they did was another bug you’d have to work out some other day. Thankfully you made it to the server room without any further trouble and began to set yourself up inside. You hadn’t touched on anything in there yet, so there would still be a lot of work to get done.
“Thanks for the guidance, Moon. You really saved my ass.” You sighed with a smile.
“You swear an awful lot around me. Better watch yourself~” He scolded.
“You swear too, bozo. Don’t think I didn’t hear you say and I quote: ‘fuck this cleaning bullshit’ one night when I was bumming around.” You smirked. “I just swear more around you in particular. Be honoured, Moony.”
“Oh gee I sure am honoured to hear your potty mouth.” He snorted, craning down to be at eye level with you. “Hmm, but your eye bags are worsening. You’d better take care of business here quickly and come to rest like you promised.”
“Aw, you care~? I promised, so I will. You have my word that I will for sure come back this time.” You sighed, flicking his forehead. “You can stay to make sure, or go on your way. Whichever you please. I don’t mind your company.”
Moon stood back up straight again to hide his altering expression. He could not allow you to see just how intently he looked at you just yet.
“Alright. I believe you for sure. We’ll be waiting for you.” He nodded.
Moon briskly took his leave and left you alone to work, a sly smirk on your face.
“I am definitely enjoying this far too much. Holy hell am I ever in love with those two.” You finally admitted to yourself.
Self admittance was always the first step, but you still had an entire facility to protect from cyber attacks. Once again putting the thoughts out of your mind you got to work installing the software, hoping that’s all you would have to do tonight. You were admittedly quite tired, but still wanted to get this done as soon as possible. The software would hopefully work about as fast as you did, limiting attacks on the establishment. Once you programmed it in and set it up, you watched it take care of any minor door malfunctions and protect the system from a few weak attacks. It worked wonderfully to start, and only after about half an hour of initialization too. For once, you might actually get some sleep.
“Well that didn’t take too long. I guess I can go get some rest now.” You yawned, quite fed up with your long day.
There was still a little bit of chaos to end off your night though. The map bots no longer had Moon to fear, so the entire way back to the daycare they all offered you maps, not leaving you alone until you took one from them. The voices soon got annoying, and you had at least thirteen maps in your hands by now as you finally escaped back into the daycare. The first power cycle was still going, so Moon awaited you when you trudged in through the front door.
“I’m baaaack.” You groaned out.
Moon swooped down from the ceiling, aiming to startle you. The amount of fatigue you had made you too slow to process anything though, and he immediately became concerned. Then he saw the maps in your hand, and sighed even harder.
“Oh my god you could have paged the daycare and I would’ve guided you back. Now look at you!” Moon scolded.
“I have. So many maps.” You giggled.
“Give.”
Moon took the maps from you and put them at the help desk at the front of the daycare. You didn’t really register it, and before you knew it he had you picked up in his arms and carried you back to his room. He took the fast way though, and latched onto a hook that pulled him all the way up to the window above the ballpit. You didn’t even flinch at the rapid ascension, too tired to care. Soon you were plopped into a huge bean bag chair in the corner, your laptop pried from your other arm so you could sleep easily.
“Rest, starlight. The systems will be fine for one night.” Moon spoke gently.
“Mmnh, alright. You’re sure nice when I’m sleepy.” You mumbled, turning on your side in the massive chair. “I wonder if I could convince you to be my napping buddy…”
Your voice trailed off as sleep soon took you over, knocked out completely in the chair. Moon stared at your sleeping form with wide blue eyes, dumbfounded by your statement. Because you were so tired, he couldn’t tell if you meant it, so he grumbled in a flustered state and kept the lightswitch off up in his room before jumping down back to the main floor of the daycare. The power cycle would come around and the lights would turn back on soon. These emotions would be Sun’s problem now.
===
When you knocked out, you knocked out hard. It ended up being past eight when you finally woke up, meaning that you had slept about a solid eight hours. You groaned when you lifted yourself from the massive bean bag chair, rubbing the sleep from your eyes. There was still work to be done, and you weren’t getting paid to nap.
“Ugh, shit. That means kids are here. I’ll probably stay up here and order a staff bot to bring me some pizza.” You mumbled to yourself, waltzing on over to the big window.
Sure enough, Sun was out and about entertaining about twenty toddlers and young teens. As much as you weren’t a fan of working with people, watching him easily handle all those kids was an impressive sight. You leaned on the small platform and looked out over the whole daycare before focusing your vision on Sun. That seemed to be enough for him to detect he was being watched, and he looked over at you with a big smile on his face and waved. You waved back with an equally as vivid smile, sticking your tongue out at him before both of you returned to your work.
You disappeared back inside his room and set up your laptop again, the bulk of the work thankfully being done. All you had to do was monitor the systems for the rest of the day, so you could take it easy and eat some pizza in peace while you monitored the activity. Ordering some on your phone, you ran some basic protocols with your admin permission and watched the time go by, little blips of activity going off here and there while you watched your newly created program work perfectly.
When your pizza arrived, it came through at the bottom, so Sun happily delivered it to you instead while the kids were busy in the crafting corner. Hunger had its grip on you, so it was a delight to see the bright and ever enthusiastic Sun bring you your salvation. You ate with him happily, showing him all the success your software was having before he had to go back down and take care of the kids again.
In fact, the program was performing so well that you left it, confident that it would do fine without your watchful eye. You instead went down to the main floor of the daycare and proposed your assistance to Sun, wanting to mess around and try something different. He was overjoyed of course, and soon you were a part of his day to day activities.
You participated in crafts, games, and even helped when it was naptime. Moon of course tried his hardest to make you sleep too, but ended up losing that war when you ended up being the one to scoop up any stray kids who tried to escape their naps. He allowed you to remain awake throughout all the nap times because you were such a big help, both Sun and Moon appreciating the extra work and energy you put in while around them. They both started to wish you worked with them in here on the daily now, their circuits surging every time a kid ran up to you chanting ‘miss programmer come play!’ as if you’d always been in the daycare.
Eventually the day was done though and all the kids said goodbye, leaving you alone with Sun once again. It was getting late, but you weren’t done fooling around just yet. The two of you played on like carefree beings, completely forgetting about your job as you indulged in the sweet time you had with each other. It was fine really… Until you heard alert sounds going off from your computer at around ten at night.
“Shit. That’s my computer!” You cursed.
“Language sunshine!” Sun gasped.
“The facility, Sunny! Get me up there and fast.” You ordered, now panicking.
Sun nodded and disregarded your cursing, hooking himself to the rope like Moon did and whisking you off to his room. You practically threw yourself inside the window and ran to your computer, watching the error signs flash all over the screen.
“No no no… No! Dammit.” You cursed again, rapidly typing away and unplugging your laptop.
“W-what’s wrong? What’s with all that beeping?” Sun asked.
“It’s an active hack. Someone is trying to breach our systems as we speak. I need to go. Now.” You huffed. “I’ll be back, Sunny. I don’t know when, but I’ll be back. I need to keep this place safe. I need to keep… you, safe.”
Without another word you dashed off with your laptop down the stairs again, leaving Sun to wait for you once more. He was nervous, but trusted you to keep the place secure. You had never looked so panicked before, so he hoped with all his might that you would get by just fine without a hitch.
This was the only time the map bots didn’t bother you. The speed you ran with was incredible, and the look on your face was enough for them to register to not get in your way. Thank god for that, because you made it to the server room within five minutes of sprinting. You slammed your laptop down on the desk and plugged it into the rest of the system, preparing for quite literally the worst.
“Why the fuck is there a cyber attack on this whole building this late at night! Further more, why the fuck can’t my program keep up?! Do I need to teach it to work faster? Damn!”
Cursing left and right again you started to work alongside your software. If it couldn’t keep up with the attacks, the least you could do was double the speed by working with it. Firewalls for several things were breached, which lead to you frantically typing and trying to repair everything. Whoever was doing this really wanted inside, and wanted the things inside to completely lose it too. Bots were compromised, doors were lifted, security locks were broken, and all you could do was come in right after it to put things back in order. Until they slowed down, you’d just have to clean up the mess being made until the unknown hacker got tired and gave up before you did.
This went on for hours. Three, four, no… seven hours of compromising attacks. Seven hours of constant counter hacking while simultaneously trying to identify the source. You were running on multiple cans of caffeinated Fizzy Faz you had stored in a mini fridge, shaking yet tired as you kept up with all your tasks. Just when you got close to identifying them, the hacking slowed down, and you quickly switched directives. With the stranger attempting to cover their trail you were able to catch up to everything and start pushing them out. You saw nothing but lines of code as you broke down their safety and successfully locked them out of the Pizzaplex’s system, implanting a nasty little bug of your own before you shut down their computer to top it all off. Thankfully you were able to snag the IP at the last second too, so you’d run over those details with the owners another day. For now though, you wanted to relish in your success. Seven hours of defensive comp work paid off, even if it was five in the morning.
Thanks to the Fizzy Faz, you were having a caffeine crash, which made you more tired than the last time. You still persistently pressed on back to the daycare though, saving your last bit of energy to greet Sun. When you made it back for the second time with yet another stack of maps in hand, you slapped them down on the front desk with your laptop and clocked out of the job on your phone. You were very much done with the job for the day, and called out to Sun for his attention.
“I DID IT SUNNY! I’M DONE!” You yelled out.
Sun came bounding over to you, relieved to hear of your success. “You did?! Oh I’m so glad to hear! You were gone for so long!”
“I know. It was… A really aggressive attack. I had to work with the program… but it should’ve learned from me while I was there. I should never have to do that again… I hope.” You sighed deeply, swaying a little and falling forward into the animatronic.
“Oh! You… Were you awake the whole time?!” Sun asked as he caught you.
“Mhmmm. Fizzy Faz… energy drinks helped me go.” You replied groggily.
“Ohhhhh…. You are lucky I don’t turn the lights out and let Moon deal with you!” Sun huffed, rather frustrated with you staying up so late. “Come on. Bed time for you!”
You didn’t complain. You allowed Sun to pick you up and carry you back to his room once more, very much limp in his arms. He was careful with you, glancing at your insane eye bags every once in a while until you were up in his room safely. Sun carried you over to his hammock and just as he was about to put you down, you found enough energy to throw one arm up and smack his shoulder to stop him.
“Can you just… Lie with me. Please? You’re warm. Just once…” You asked quietly, still fighting off your fatigue.
Sun went pink but nodded yes to your request, reorienting himself so he just sat down neatly in the hammock with you on top. The heat from how flustered he was was enough to warm you up comfortably, unaware of its source as you let that fatigue win the war against your senses. You knocked out instantly, falling fast asleep with Sun for comfort. With how tired you were, being a little vulnerable wouldn’t hurt just this once.
“She’s out cold…” Sun said softly. “She’s gonna work herself to death one day I swear.”
“No kidding. I swear she needs us when she does stuff like this. Where else would she pass out if not here?” Moon pondered.
“Yeah… She even asked us to stay.” Sun huffed, getting embarrassed at the thought.
Description: Sun discovers the wonders of google. You reminded him he has access to the internet, but was it a good call to remind him of such a versatile tool...

It took a while, but you finally managed to convince Sun to go and get his processor upgraded like you had recommended. All it took was you agreeing to be there with him the whole time, which you were more than happy to do. Chad would be the one to do the upgrade, so you expected this little interaction to be an interesting one. With three different kinds of troublemakers in the same room, something funny was bound to happen. You just didn’t expect it to take the kind of turn it did.
While everything started out smooth and the processor was replaced with no problem, it was the smaller fixes that allowed for the odd conversation to start up. While Chad was rewiring some of the connections in the joints on one of Sun’s arms, you worked mindlessly on code by the counter beside him. Sun on the other hand was intrigued by everything, asking questions about many things as the maintenance went on. It wasn’t long before the questions shifted from relevant to abstract and silly, landing on the topic of words that kids would use in the daycare.
“Do either of you know what a ‘yass’ is?” Sun asked out of the blue.
Chad choked and had to pause for a moment, shooting Sun a sideways glance. “What happened to questions about my tools? Where did that come from?” He snorted.
“I just remembered it! A young teen used that word earlier today, and I thought you might know.” Sun explained innocently.
“Sunny, you do remember that you have access to the internet now, right?” You piped up, snickering at his question. “You could google that word and find out without asking us.”
“Oh! Oh you’re right Sunshine! What would I do without you?”
“Lord can you two not do that while I’m working?” Chad groaned.
“Ah shaddap you baby.” You scoffed. “Try doing a search Sunny. I still can’t believe you haven’t tried to do so yet.”
Sun nodded and took a moment to try and figure out how to use the function you spoke of. Eventually his eyes blacked out and displayed the word ‘searching’ across each eye. He mumbled to himself the question he was searching up then went silent again, leading you to assume he was reading a definition of sorts. After a few seconds of silence Sun reached a conclusion and went ‘ooooh!’ quite loudly. Both you and Chad started to giggle like idiots, Chad needing to quit working on Sun because of how hard he was choking back his laughter.
“So it’s like a positive exclamation! Like saying yes, but snazzier.” Sun concluded.
“Yeah. Yeah that’s a pretty good explanation.” You nodded, unable to hide the huge grin on your face.
“This is such a handy function. I’m gonna check all the other words I was curious about!”
Sun’s genuine joy brought a true smile to your face. You got a kick out of him doing this as much as he did, and so did Chad. Witnessing him learn about certain slang words was truly an amusing process, especially when it came to the pronunciations. Chad couldn’t hold himself together much longer and chuckled with his head in his hand. You were able to keep it together for a moment, but lost it when he started listing off words.
He went through lit, swag, slay, and poggers. Poggers was a word that nearly killed you, because you never thought you’d ever hear the sentence ‘that sounds totally poggers dude’ coming from the mouth of your sweet mechanical partner. The way it was so flatly said made it all the more comedic while you slapped your leg and laughed, Chad having taken to banging the counter. Sun was totally immune to your laughing fit, having such a good time with this new tool for knowledge. Eventually he riddled off the word ‘yeet’... and you took that one a little more seriously.
“Oh my GOD. Sunny, please let me give you a live demonstration of yeet.” You cackled.
“Ooo! Please do! All I’m seeing is that it’s a word said when throwing something.” Sun nodded, his eyes returning to normal to watch you.
“Watch this.” You snickered. “Ayo Chad! YEET.”
The poor guy hadn’t anticipated your demonstration to be so sudden and directed at him. Right as soon as you yelled the word yeet, you hurtled a nearby empty can of Fizzy Faz at him and nailed him in the head. With a metallic twang he hollered at you while you and Sun laughed at him.
“Rude! Why’d you have to go and use me as your target?!” Chad complained.
“Cause you deserve it, fool.” You jeered.
You and Chad bickered at each other for a moment while Sun’s laughter died down. While the banter went on, Sun wanted to look up one other thing in particular, and right in the middle of your argument he went into search mode and said the most disastrous thing out loud.
“I wonder what rule 34 is? I’ve been hearing about that a lot.” He said to himself, eyes blacking out to the search mode again.
You and Chad switched up almost immediately. Your smile dropped and was replaced with a look of horror while Chad busted a gut and started laughing uncontrollably without restraint.
“SUN NO. DO NOT FINISH THAT SEARCH.” You hollered, getting up to smack his arm in discouragement.
“...”
“Sun? Sun, don't tell me you searched it…” You pleaded.
“OH.” Was all Sun said in a flat tone of horror.
“NOOOO!” You wailed.
“Ahahaha! You’re too late! Oh my god I can’t believe he did it!” Chad laughed, leaning on the counter.
You wept for the loss of Sun’s innocence as his eyes returned to normal again, an expression of regret resting on the poor animatronic’s face. A bright orangey-pink blush had risen on his features white he thought of what he had just witnessed, you leaning across him on the chair groaning in secondhand embarrassment.
“I think… I’ll take your advice next time.” Sun finally said with a guilty chuckle.
“I am so sorry you had to see that. The internet has ruined us all at some point.” You sighed dramatically, fully draped over him on the chair now.
“Looks like your love bot now has some material to work with for you!” Chad teased, still giggling as he looked over at you.
The way your cheeks went from pale to deep red was almost comical. If you could give off steam, you would, and so would Sun if it weren't for that snazzy new processor upgrade. He held the head he gave off well, but you were beyond embarrassed.
“CHAD. NO. NAUGHTY.”
With your head in your hands you groaned and hid in Sun’s side, trying to snuff out every thought that came to your cursed brain while Chad got one more chance at a laughing fit. Sun was surprisingly doing alright; a little embarrassed but not completely losing it in the same manner you were. There was no hiding how flustered he was though as he too sighed.
“I feel like we’ve all misused the internet at some point in time. Though you two are a little earlier on that one than I am…” Sun chuckled.
“Misuse? Hell no, I do it on purpose.” Moon chuckled darkly in the back of Sun’s mind.
“MOON!” Sun screeched out loud.
“What? What did he say? Does he find this situation funny?” You asked.
“Apparently he’s been using it the whole time… Deliberately searching terms like those. No wonder some of those images seemed familiar.” Sun groaned. “His memory is leaking into mine again.”
“Good lord. I shouldn’t expect anything different from Moon.” You sighed, sitting up to bring a bit of dust off of Sun’s face. “What the hell am I gonna do with you two?”
While you admired your poor robotic partner’s face, you planted a chaste little kiss on his nose that made both of you forget about the misfortunes of a bad google search. Chad on the other hand couldn’t keep himself together and made gagging noises, ensuring he had solid eye contact with you while he jammed his finger down his throat.
“Yeah. LOVE. BOT.” He repeated.
“Shut up and finish your job before I make you choke on that finger.” You muttered. “There are still live wires poking out of his left elbow joint man.”
‘Oop, you’re right. I’ll get right on that, seductress of electronics.” He snickered.
“COME ON.”
Defeated once again with no lines of code to get back to, you let Chad have the final word while Sun comforted you with his free arm that you were currently hidden in. There may have been a couple of unfortunate things to happen, but it wasn’t the end of the world. Sun would just have to be a little more careful with the things he searched. Asking questions first still seemed to be the safest method, but at least he got to see you genuinely flustered for the first time. You were usually so stable, but Chad’s teasing had torn you down.
The misuse of google wasn’t always an unfortunate incident after all.
