life lately 💌🪴☀️
🎇resolutions are great, but change doesn't happen overnight! nobody's perfect, and it's important to celebrate our progress (it's part of the journey!)
Digital illustration of a brown woman with bleach blonde hair in a ponytail. She is wearing a navy sweater that reads, 'progress over perfection' and a green plaid skirt.
Don't let perfectionism hold you back from making progress towards your goals. Take a deep breath, start with small tasks, and let the feeling of accomplishment motivate you. Use to-do lists to stay on track and celebrate each completed task. Remember, progress doesn't have to be perfect. Just take that first step and keep going.
To anyone, who needs to hear this: the alternative to perfectionism isn't doing the bare minimum and being proud of it. The alternative to perfectionism is embracing uncertainty and the margin of error. It's coming to terms with the fact, that nothing you do is 100% accurate and that's normal. That's why tolerance exists (by 'tolerance' I mean 'engineering tolerance', the limit of variation), but that doesn't mean, you shouldn't try your best.
She survived, I refined 😌
