I'm suddenly reminded I wanted to revive my art blog again on tumblr, but ugh it's a little discouraging knowing how poorly original art gets handled in here ;u;

ask for fanfic writers: numbers 13, 14, 17, 38, 42 ;))
asks for fanfic writers
drop a number and a fandom in my askbox and I’ll answer:
13: hardest character to write
Hanzo and Mercy. They’re very complex and have a lot of quirks I haven’t quite figured out yet (compared to how I write McCree at least). They come off as the kind of people that really hide who they really are, so you’d have to really get to know them, which takes time, which in turns requires me to drag out their characterizations and iron out the details (something I struggle with since I have a wildly short attention span). They also make unreliable narrators, which adds to the difficulty imo
14: easiest character to write
McCree! He’s just very fun and comes naturally to me, I know him like I know the back of my hand. I read dialogue in his voice in my head, and I’m able to get into his mindset and see how he would think/feel/act according to his morals. I love exploring his character and adding onto his background, he’s just absolutely a joy to work with
17: favorite AU to write
Now, disclaimer because I haven’t written this yet, but my favorite AU at the moment is Hanzo in his Okami skin as a werewolf. Basically an AU where they didn’t have dragons, but had wolves instead, and after Hanzo killed Genji 500 years ago, he was cursed, and the spirit wolves made him immortal so that he would be forced to live with the grief at the loss of his brother. Not only that, but he was also cursed to meet his soulmate, and never be able to save his soulmate (since they are not immortal like him) and he’s forced to lose them again and again.
Hanzo spends his days trying to work things out with himself, to honor Genji, and when he inevitably falls in love (ofc as a mchanzo shipper I default to McCree being the s/o but this could work for any pairing), he finds himself continuously chasing down his soulmate through every reincarnation to be with them, hoping that perhaps in one of their reincarnations he could save them, just maybe. Time skip to 2076, Hanzo has given up, and lies in his massive wolf form in the forest, waiting for time to consume him. What he doesn’t expect is for his soulmate (who shouldn’t know Hanzo exists in this lifetime since he hadn’t pursued them) to come looking for him...
38: do you reread your own stories?
mmmnnnnghhhhh sometimes. Not always. I hate rereading my own work bc for some reason I get hella embarrassed at myself?? It’s like, you know that feeling you get when u see like a tv show or somethign with awful cringey secondhand embarrassment and u get that feel where u just can’t watch the show bc of how bad u feel for that character? that’s the feeling i get when I reread my own stuff
It depends tho. I’m getting better at just doing it, and I know I’m not a horrible writer, I’m fairly decent but I need a lot of editing done (something I hate doing bc of the reason above + ADD)
but yes, I do reread them. Just not always.
42: do you plan or do you write whatever comes to your mind?
Both! I work around my ideas first and solely. If I get an idea, but it doesn’t fit in with what I have planned, then I force it in there, I find a way to make it work. This results in more plotting and planning, and approximately 5k words of pure plot outlines just to get it to work. I actually prefer writing what comes to my mind bc even if it doesn’t work, the inspiration and drive I get from putting it to paper in the first place helps me work out details that can in turn be used for subplots and other twists that can later be important
(sucks im slow at writing tho haha)
🌹 🦄 🌼 🌷
From this
🌹- Are you/ do you want to be in love?
I’m not in love right now, but I’d definitely like to be. I’m a romantic at heart :)
🦄- List your three favorite things about yourself!
1.) my ability to write
2.) how much I have grown as a person
3.) my god damn gorgeous hair
🌼- What are you attracted to in people personality-wise?
I like people who have a good sense of humor, who are smart and driven, and who are tough. Most of all, though, people who are compassionate and honest. Knowing that a person has integrity makes it way easier to open up with them
🌷- What are you attracted to in people physical appearance-wise?
Oh my god. Well, I have to admit, muscles are really nice, especially abs, but like…if a girl smiles at me the right way, I forget how to speak. I practically get hypnotized, lol
Thanks so much for asking ^-^ <3
3 and 6 for pharah, mercy, symmetra :pppppp
For this
Oh my god, these are hard, haha
3: fuck, take a bullet for, murder
fuck - Pharah. No question, lol
take a bullet for - I think Symmetra’s clothing probably provides the least protection, especially when compared to Pharah’s armor and Mercy’s suit, so I’d be most concerned about her
murder - …sorry, Mercy
6: seduce, steal from, serenade
seduce - I would not be successful in the slightest, but I would try to seduce Symmetra. Maybe she would find my awkward bumbling endearing
steal from - I feel like Mercy would be the least likely to destroy me if I stole from her (’cause come on, Pharah would not stand for that and Symmetra would end anyone who took her stuff), so since I want to get out of this alive, I’d steal from Mercy, lol
serenade - Pharah would probably think it was funny/flattering and start singing along, so I’d have to say her
Thanks for asking! :)
