Pepsi’s Project Cobalt: moving beyond category

Project Cobalt is Pepsi’s foray into fashion—a radical category pivot for the soda brand from its historic remit. The “culture platform” is a joint initiative between Pepsi, All Beuys Club, Fashion Business Accelerator 360 and other partners that pairs young talents with established designers to launch new creative projects. First up, a Project Cobalt clothing line featuring tees, jackets and other athletic wear. The line will be sold on the Project Cobalt site and have a limited run in a shop on the Lower East Side.

FILA Japan Loves Nozomi Sasaki And So Does #ProjectCobalt

Nozomi Sasaki is a Japanese glamour model from Akita.  

She has more recently become famous as a gravure idol and main ringside commentator / spokesperson for the mixed martial arts competition Dream Fighting Championships and the kickboxing competition.  

It is very fascinating how diverse Fila has proven to be since its inception in 1911 in Italy.  It only makes sense that they're probably the world's largest sportwear manufacturing company and now also sharing their platform with Nozomi from Japan- a fierce fashionista and sport fanatic alike.

BOBBY HUNDREDS STARTS WORK ON STREETWEAR DOCUMENTARY:

On the official blog of his streetwear company The Hundreds, owner Bobby Kim has revealed that after two years of trying to release a documentary of his life story and the rise of his company, filming will begin next week.

Thanks to the help of several of his "friends and family from all corners of streetwear" and Project Cobalt, this pipe dream is set to become reality, and will document the ascent of Bobby Hundreds' career as he started from nothing and ended up co-owning one of the world's leading streetwear companies.

It is set to be a highly interesting watch, especially for us as Bobby Hundreds is one of a select group of streetwear entrepreneurs that we look up to, and aspire to replicate the success of. Any more updates on filming or a release date will be posted on our blog as soon as the details are made available. Stay tuned!
