So I just wrote the ending of my story

My story is a trilogy, I finished writing the ending before even finishing the first novel.

Writing Share

This isn't from a tag but i felt like I could share something that I really like !

His mother, a lady in her mature years but nevertheless a young mom, stands in the doorway, a cigarette between her index and middle fingers. She rests it against her lips as a cloud of smoke escapes from her nostrils. Noe pinches his nose; this crap gives him terrible headaches, and the smell lingers in every room of the house.

Tell me what you think and if I should maybe change something like some words !

I really feel like I've improved a lot since I first started writing this book and seeing my progress is honestly one of the best part of this journey <3

Writing Update :

Hey so I'm pretty sure it's been a while (as always) and I'm coming back with some news ; my writing process is so messy that I just decided to write in 3rd person instead of 1st person ????

The idea came when I wrote a blurb (for volume 3 of course) and randomly wrote in 3rd person, it sounded nice and I thought I could try writing my first chapter like that just to see how it looks/sounds

Well I discovered two things : 1) it's really fun to be able to describe more things, it's not so limiting anymore 2) I somehow wrote almost 1k word in addition of what I had wrote with 1st person just by writing in 3rd and that without adding any new scenes ???

So I think i'm gonna write in 3rd person from now on haha

(I have over 40k words now, and wow, I just don't have the words)

Writing Update

Heyy, got writing block I think haha, but I convinced myself to just start the next chapter instead of always focusing on the previous one !

And it did work as I finished Chapter 8 with 2.4k words (instead of 1.5k lol) and I'm very happy about it ! Also I nearly created a HUGE incoherence, but that was avoided for the most part (may have to rewrite an earlier chapter later though now)

(I think reading fanfictions also somehow motivated me on my own project)

Anyway, hope everyone has a wonderful writing year for 2026 !!

Writing update

I haven't written this much in a while, but I did for the past couple days ! I was sick yesterday so I didn't write much but I'm feeling a lot better and actually continued writing today, I was a bit scared it would be gastro since I was around people who had just gotten it but it was alright, I was probably just really tired. I think this is also a reminder that if you feel tired or under the weather, you shouldn't force yourself to write in any case because you'll just get more exhausted and It's not good for you (also your writing don't be as good and this will just end up being more work for you later so pls take breaks and sleep) !!
