Guild Wars -> Guild Wars 2 Zen Daijun Temple. More comparisons on our blog! http://projecttyria.blogspot.com/
Day 3: Favorite map Plains of Ashford, definitely. Like a lot of other players, I’m super interested in places that remind me of the first game. It’s what got me to start up Project Tyria; seeing both of the games version’s of the locations side by side absolutely thrills me. Plains of Ashford is where I first decided to start PrTy. There are a lot of places in this Ascalonian map that you can find in both games so it instantly became my favorite map in the entire game. The top screenshot is the map, of course, and the bottom is my favorite location to take pictures of in PoA. This is the former Ascalon City and in pre-searing this was also the lake within the walls. In post-searing you might recognize the cliffs over the lake in the center of this picture to be where the staircases lead up to Warmaster Tydus, who gives out some of the main quests.

Kralkatorrik’s resting place. Guild Wars vs Guild Wars 2 Approximately.
More Grothmar Wardowns vs Grothmar Valley. Guild wars compared against Guild Wars 2. We’ll be releasing more on our site later.
Vizier’s Tower - Guild Wars 2 The first image is apparently how the tower looked during the war with the charr, as shown during the shattered reality in Jahai Bluffs. The second image is of the ruins of the tower in the Straits of Devastation.
Day 10: How many guilds are you in? Do you have a main guild? I’m in 3 guilds, sometimes trying out others because the guilds I’m in aren’t particularly active at the moment. There’s Chronicles of Tyria (CoT), who run a gw2 fanfiction fansite and used to do a podcast. I participated in both things and still write for them. I’ve made some amazing friends through them and the times we spend/spent together are unforgettable. The picture is a small group of us from a few years ago after guild missions. Then there is LAB which is just for IRL friends and stuff. Finally there is my main guild, Project Tyria (PrTy). We’re but a tiny group, mostly IRL friends but also people who expressed interest in the Project Tyria site. Our motto is “Be kind to others and help when you can.” Those repping PrTy are willing to help if asked and will very often respond to anyone asking for help in a map if we aren’t currently busy helping someone else (including a guildmate).
