Day 3: Favorite map Plains of Ashford, definitely. Like a lot of other players, I’m super interested in places that remind me of the first game. It’s what got me to start up Project Tyria; seeing both of the games version’s of the locations side by side absolutely thrills me. Plains of Ashford is where I first decided to start PrTy. There are a lot of places in this Ascalonian map that you can find in both games so it instantly became my favorite map in the entire game. The top screenshot is the map, of course, and the bottom is my favorite location to take pictures of in PoA. This is the former Ascalon City and in pre-searing this was also the lake within the walls. In post-searing you might recognize the cliffs over the lake in the center of this picture to be where the staircases lead up to Warmaster Tydus, who gives out some of the main quests.
Rude.
Finishing 100% map:
Me: Psshh, I can do it during one day, it’s just wandering around, yeah? Map:

The Living World with Episode Three “A Crack in the Ice” continues November 21st
The Guild Wars 2 is about to expand once more with today’s announcement of Episode Three of Living World: Season Three. “A Crack in the Ice” will take us north to pick up the story of the elder dragon Jormag becoming active at the same time as Primordus.
As with Episodes One and Two, players can expect a new map filled with new some new variations on old foes. Also, unless the Griffin above isn’t just “cut scene cool”, enemy may soon actually fly rather then their current animations that just give the illusion of flying.
“A Crack in the Ice” is free to Guild Wars 2 players as long as they have the Heart of Thorns expansion and log in while it is active. If a player doesn’t have HoT, the player will bank access to the episode as long as they go in-game at least once before the next episode drops. If not, ArenaNet will offer the content later for a small amount of Gems.
Heart of Thorns 50% off till November 22nd
Guild Wars 2 has also half off till the day after Episode 3 has launched when bought from GuildWars2.com .This is becoming the custom, as the the price break has also around for the previous two installments.

It’s a bug: Mysterious yellow dots for party members explained
Guild Wars2 had a new bug introduced this weekend that caused some players showing as yellow dots in the mini map. That’s a bug ans accidentally shipped before it was ready wrote Seth Chadwick, a GW2 Gameplay Programmer. A bug that shows an interesting new feature coming to the game.
“This feature, when working properly, allows you to see your guild members on the world map without the need to be in a party with them,” Chadwick commented on the official game forums. “Party members should not show in gold, they should always show in blue. Guild members that are not in your party should show in gold.”
Another detail Chadwick gave about the golden dots is that Guild members on maps different from the player will still show up on the minimap, but will update at a slower interval.
