Fewer than 24 hours after shooting this @Luftgekuhlt, I got to hear it blast through tunnels on Angeles Crest Highway. And I thought #ProjectStork sounded good with its mufflers hacked off. (at Torrance, California)

Final #ProjectStork update for the week: Either the fuel distributor needs a rebuild, or it’s a simple vacuum issue. Either way, a specialist needs to look at it, but we won’t be driving it to Luftgekühlt this year. Still, I’m happy with the progress we’ve made at @fixyourcarwithhaynes this week. We’re so close to getting it running! I’d also like to express my deepest gratitude to @turbohbrad for all his hard work this week. These past four days wouldn’t have happened without him. This #2017BestNine isn’t determined by your likes, this one is the nine things that I enjoyed most. 2017 was an abysmal year generally, but on a personal level it was pretty great. 1. @drivingwhileawesome #CoastalRangeRally 2. All of the awesome cars I got to drive this year. (Shown, four wheeling in a @landroverusa Discovery). 3. After being a NASCAR fan in the 90s and 2000s it was incredible to finally get to attend the #Daytona500. 4. My mega road trip in the #ProjectMelloYello @porsche #912E 5. Spending a day with @manuelcarrillo3 getting his #ProjectStork 911 up and running. 6. Buying this dumbass MG Midget. 7. Having a 488 Spyder, even for only three days, was a mind-bending experience. #ThisCarCostMyHouse 8. Starting and growing @radwoodofficial with @artsees, @laneskelton, and @the911isflat. Couldn’t ask for a better crew to work with. 9. All the friends that have been excellent this year. It’s hard to make friends at 30, and I’ve made a lot. Thanks for making things bearable. Also, thanks to @mandypants231 for being the best wife.
