I’m going to miss these two incredible musicals so much. Today is the beginning of closings due to Broadway’s summer slump, and personally, these were 2 of my favorites this season. So much heart and soul went into creating these shows and making sure they spread their message. They did what musicals are SUPPOSED to do and transported you to another world for a little while. (Thanks for that, @bobmartin9000 😉) A world where representation was key, love came before first, and the leading role wasn’t your typical ingenue. Thank you to everyone involved in making @theprommusical and @bemorechillmusical a reality on Broadway so that they have secured their place in theatre history for years to come. The circle of life must continue so new shows can come in and these can move on and have a bigger life...tours, movies, school productions, and beyond. I’ll continue to love these shows forever.
