Towards a region with more integrity and transparency: images in the fight against corruption.
The Inter- American Development Bank Group (IADB)’s International Anti-Corruption Day 2015 commemoration featured a cartoon contest entitled “Towards a region with more integrity and transparency: images in the fight against corruption.” With criticism, humor and aesthetics, cartoons have been an effective tool for communicating ideas familiar to all cultures that break language barriers. The contest raised awareness about the role that both individuals and society play, in combating corruption and promoting transparency.
