am I right in remembering you cut your own hair? if not feel free to delete this but I despise having longer hair and would like some tips

I do generally cut my own hair!! But I tend to just.....go with the flow 😬

I genuinely have no idea how to explain the process, I'm so sorry, and I don't even have tutorials to recommend or anything because I don't use them lmaooo

Uhhh okay just remember that everything—especially your fringe—is gonna be slightly shorter than wherever you cut it. Possibly much, much shorter, depending on the texture of your hair. If you want your fringe to sit just slightly above your eyebrows, cut it on your eyebrows, or perhaps even below. Actually try to start like an inch longer than you want it to be and work your way up from there.

Do it slowly, in stages. Don't rush, take your time.

Obviously (or not idk) when you're cutting the shape of it cut straight across, but once I've done that I generally cut...upwards? Idk if that makes any sense at all but I think it's a thing I've seen hairdressers do, just little snips into the hair itself, I think it smooths it out. Is it called feathering or is that something else...

As you can tell, I really don't know what I'm doing, so I'd definitely go look up some tutorials if I were you. You'll probably be able to find some good stuff on youtube. Maybe try add ‘transmasc’ to the search, might be useful idk.

But always remember that hair is impermanent, it will grow and you sill cut it again and it will grow and you will improve and you have your whole life ahead of you. Must I say yolo or is that already implied.
