An Art Gallery Proposal

Amru contacted us to plan a very unique and personalised marriage proposal for his lovely girlfriend Reem. The couple are both from Dubai and have very hectic lives with their jobs, so we wanted to really wow them both with a very personalised and romantic day that they would never forget.

After speaking to Amru, we quickly learnt that Reem spends a lot of her free time taking photographs around Dubai for her Instagram page, ‘Humans of Dubai’. She really enjoys exploring all the different areas of the city and chatting to the different people that live here. We were really moved by some of the people that she has met and knew that we had to incorporate this passion for photography into her marriage proposal.

For the venue, we thought a memorable proposal would be to display some of her favourite photographs in a Dubai Art Gallery. We shared the idea with Amru and straight away, he loved it, so we got to work with the planning and logistics. We spend the weekend visiting some of Dubai’s art galleries and instantly fell in love with Showcase Gallery in Al Quoz. As one of the first art galleries in the Region, they have some amazing Middle Eastern works of art, and their gallery is very sophisticated and elegant- a lot like our lovely couple. We contacted the gallery and shared our idea and they were very excited to be part of this exciting proposal.

In the months leading up to the proposal, we worked closely with Amru and Reem’s family, to get our hands on some of the high-res images that would be required for our idea. We had these images printed onto large boards, and then displayed on easels around the gallery. Pink rose petals were scattered on the floor, along with vases of her favourite flowers - pink tulips.

To get Reem to the gallery for the proposal, Amru suggested that they spend the afternoon exploring the many art galleries of Al Quoz, before he brought her into Showcase Gallery. When she walked through the door, it took a few seconds for Reem to realise that it was her images that were being displayed. When she saw the quotes that she had written below, she realised that the entire set up had been done for her, and she couldn’t believe what was happening. The couple spent a few minutes looking at the images before Amru got down on one knee and proposed. Our photographer made sure that she captured the moment to perfection.

A Luxurious Dubai Yacht Proposal

Matt and Emma were visiting Dubai on a week long holiday from the UK. They had been to the city before and fell in love with it, so Matt knew that this would be the perfect proposal destination.

After the spa, they had some time to get glammed up for the evening ahead. We arranged for a beautiful Rolls Royce Phantom to pick them up from their hotel and drive them around Dubai Marina before dropping them at their yacht. They really turned some heads in this luxury car and were treated like celebrities when they stepped out.

They were escorted to their luxury yacht in the breath-taking Dubai Marina. The yacht was filled with fairy lights and candles that lead the way to a beautifully decorated table. Burnt orange is Emma’s favourite colour at the moment, so we made sure that this was the theme for the evening. Playing in the background was Emma’s favourite song, followed by a hand-picked playlist of the couple’s favourite music to accompany them for the rest of the evening. Matt took Emma’s hand and guided her through the candlelit yacht to the very front, where he proposed with the backdrop of Dubai Marina.

They then spent the evening sailing around the Burj Al Arab, Dubai Marina and the Lagoon while enjoying champagne and a carefully designed 4 course meal, which was served to them by their private butler.

After their romantic night, they were then picked up in their Rolls Royce and taken back to their hotel where we had filled the room with candles and rose petals for them.

Matt did not propose with an engagement ring, but a set of beautiful diamond earrings. The proposal continued onto the following day where they visited some of Dubai’s finest jewellers so that Emma could pick her own ring- can’t go wrong there.
