Hello EVERYBODY!

Just wanted to give a update on the STATE of our family! Having 2 children, 3 toddlers, a baby AND another PRECIOUS blessing on the way does have it’s challenges, but we SOLDIER through for the LORD.

Lately Asher and Imogen have been acting VERY defiant and haven’t had joyful COUNTENANCES.

So we’ve had to have a lot of “TRAINING moments”

That is the life of a FAITHFUL follower of the LORD! But I always make sure to KEEP SWEET because I know that the Lord has given me these blessings for a REASON!

Also, we went to the CUTEST flea market last week! There were some women with IMMODEST dress, so I tasked Izzie with making sure her brother and father weren’t DEFRAUDED (that’s our term for when a woman dresses for HERSELF and not the Lord/her husband, and ANOTHER man sees it)

It did start to rain but that did NOT dampen our joyful spirits!

We bought a small table lamp but then got cold and hungry so we took the kids out for a special treat: a meal at Righteous Chicken! (made by @fundie-sims​!)

We’re so GRATEFUL that we can eat a NOURISHING meal and support a company focused on BIBLCIAL values! No defrauding waitresses or supporting EVIL ABORTIONS when you go to Righteous Chicken!

I didn’t eat very much as my morning sickness has been especially bad this pregnancy. Of course I wouldn’t give it up for the WORLD! I just LOVE being pregnant and bringing PRECIOUS MIRACLES into the world. It’s such a joy to fill my hubby’s quiver for the LORD!

The kids loved playing on the play area and we had SUCH a wonderful time! [AN: They did, but I definitely didn’t. Why won’t they STAY in the damn highchairs? I need to lie down.]

I have to DASH, but stay tuned for the next post! There’s a few birthdays and a new blessing coming VERY soon! 

[AN: Yes, Kaylie had a mini maternity shoot in a Christian fast food restaurant in the middle of the night (restaurants take FOREVER, ugh!) while ignoring her screaming, dirty, tired children. No, I am not joking. I think this outing cost me my sanity.]

It’s extra fitting since literally everyone on the GoT ‘verse would be heathens from the Christian point of view. ;P

i understand the desire to piss christians off by saying (well typing) xtian/xtianity but like? i dont know i can't do it without feeling petty and (maybe it's because i converted? and im trans?) it feels just sort of mean spirited to call them the wrong name on purpose -- like i get all of the reasons someone would /want/ to do this but it doesn't feel good? a user i follow has been making posts using 'xtians/xtianity' while talking about how christmas is idolatry and idk it just feels mean?

(Because of some of the subjects touched on, I’d prefer this post stays in relatively Jewish circles. Non-Jews with questions or comments about all this are welcome to find my ask box or messenger.)

I don’t think the use of “Xtian”/”Xianity” is intended to upset Christians. I don’t know enough linguistics or history of Christianity to explain it in detail, but from what I’ve heard it’s really just a spelling shortcut derived from Greek. Some non-Christian (and Christian -- “Xmas”) folks use it as a shortcut. Some Jews also use it to avoid saying the name of another religion’s diety/figure.

If you don’t feel comfortable using the “X” abbreviation you can absolutely spell Christianity out like I’m doing in this post. I do it for clarity, and because I'm not sure how using an “X” solves the religious figure dilemma I mentioned above.

By Jewish standards, Christianity, well...breaks Judaism. I don’t think it’s our role to insult them, or comment on how they are breaking Judaism except to combat Messianics or other tactics trying to convert Jewish people. I’d like to remind anyone Jewish who might be making these arguments without reason of Deuteronomy 4:19

The covenant with G-d is ours. Non-Jews don’t need to uphold it. Trying to push it on anyone else is not only unnecessary (see above) but puts Jews in danger.

If you need to take apart a proselytization technique for the sake of other Jews, please do it either privately (to those individual Jews being targeted) or directly in reference to the argument they are making (i.e. “this group claims xyz but that’s not true because qrs”). I recognize that in combating Jewish practice of Christmas this is hard, but you can’t reach secular Jews through tumblr without reaching a lot more Christians than you will Jews. Besides the fact that I doubt theological/textual arguments can effectively persuade most secular Jews, Christians thinking Jews are going on the offensive puts all your fellow Jews in danger. You will do more harm than good. Please find another platform (and method).

If you really, really must critique Christian theology for other reasons, please do it in Jewish-only spaces (i.e. at private gatherings, your local Beis, a closed facebook group) or with individual Christians who are up for the debate.

I know that being perfect in this regard or any still won’t protect us from antisemitism, but if y’all Jewish folks doing this could please stop putting yet another target on our backs?? Maybe you haven’t experienced antisemitism, but the rest of us have and theological arguments aren’t going to solve it.

Hi friends, big news!! We went on a mini-mission trip!!

As Christians we are CALLED by the LORD to spread the GOOD WORD and provide CHARITY. Unfortunately because we have SO MANY children just as the Lord INTENDED, we can’t go very far. So, last Saturday we drove down South (only a few hours drive) and helped BUILD houses. We worked with some SWEET families who attend our “partner church” Oasis Springs Baptist Church.

I painted and Henry Bob worked on the woodworking table.

The kiddos got to socialize with GODLY friends!

Then we all went to Harvey’s Hotdogs to have a birthday celebration for baby Imogen!

Here’s a photo of the entire group! We’re so grateful to have such GODLY friends who are all in the same SEASON of life.

We returned home and the next day was Sunday. Before we went to church we took another photograph to mark where we are in this SEASON of LIFE. Aren’t the kids so CUTE in their matching outfits? I just love dressing them up- it’s like they’re dolls! [AN: Not too far off from how actual fundies treat their kids :/ ]

I hope everyone had a WONDERFUL Sunday and has not been TEMPTED by SATAN!

When I opened my door this morning, a ‘The Reason for the Season?’ pamphlet fell out, which means that someone took it upon themselves to ignore our condo complex’s clearly posted ‘no solicitation’ policy (which was enacted primarily as a reaction to the rash of door-to-door proselytizers a few years ago) to criticize the way that Christmas is culturally celebrated.

Not only is it obnoxious to do this in a community that has clearly stated they do not wish to be proselytized to, and potentially harmful because the doors with these pamphlets still in them after today will be clearly marked as uninhabited and may become a target for breaking and entering, but it’s also disrespectful because it follows a false assumption that everyone who lives in this community celebrates Christmas. Not to mention that the content of the pamphlet itself cringely sets up a equivalence between the powers God and Santa that I am sure was unintentional.
