Prosus invests €400 million in French health-tech company Alan

Tech investor Prosus announced a €400 million (US$460 million) investment in Alan, valuing the French health-tech company at €5.5 billion (US$6.3 billion).
The funding round includes both primary and secondary equity and is backed by existing investors Teachers' Venture Growth and Index Ventures, as well as new investor Dara Holdings.
Alan, which combines health insurance, care, and prevention services through an AI-enabled platform, reported more than €800 million in annual recurring revenue as of Q1 2026, up 53% year over year. The company serves more than 1.1 million members, operates in France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada, and is profitable in France, its largest market.
According to the companies, the investment will support Alan's international expansion and further development of its AI-powered products. Prosus plans to support growth through its global network and technology capabilities, while Alan is expected to contribute to Prosus' broader healthcare and consumer services strategy.
The transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals, including those from French financial authorities.
