Mini Banner Making Workshop

Inspired by the Craftivist Collective’s Mini Banner project, I set up a stitch-in workshop open to all genders on this Saturday afternoon. This free workshop included all the tools and materials and my own version of the Craftivist Collective’s instruction manual.
I was able to post the event though the venue’s Facebook page and opted to use Eventbrite to further promote the event. Both of these platforms gained a reasonable amount of interest, however, on the day there were very few participants and I did not achieve a gender-inclusive space. Despite the small turn out, there was a sense of unity as we openly expressed our views and shared similar beliefs. Participants requested an ongoing cross stitch or craftivism group, which I am looking at pursuing.
