((Its still feel good friday!! I haven't missed it!!!))
"I fuckin' knew it...big ass softy."
Papyrus had sworn up and down that no matter what, Winfred would be treated like any other human that had ever been in the underground. He didn't care that his own brother created her, she still looked like a human and that was all that mattered to him. But Sans knew and oh how he cherished the fast that from the first time his little brother even gazed his sockets over his niece; he was skull over heels for her. That was nine months ago now, Winfred changed drastically in those months as well growing soft red hair, babbling utter nonsense all the time and best of all grew a rather close bond quickly with her prickly skeleton of a uncle. And Sans was determined to get it on recording for all the underground to see...or at least good black mail later down the road.
"Do you plan on drinking the whole thing this time around Winfred? Honestly you drink so slow I'd say you weren't hungry at all."
Papyrus took the bottle away testing his theory, the little baby snuggled in his arms seemed to contemplate the idea only briefly before showing the early signs of tears.
"And absolutely not...fine, take it back. But can you actually eat?"
Relinquishing the bottle to its rightful owner she held it this time a bit more securely as he supported the rest.
"The sooner you finish the quicker I can place you on the ground. You crawl just fine, I don't have to carry you all day anymore."
Winfred continued to gaze up at him, bubbles from the bottle following his sentence like little periods. Releasing his hand slowly from the bottle assuring she would hold it properly he brushed his thumb gingerly over her cheek, nose and forehead with practiced gentle motions.
"How are you so soft? Is it because you're a baby?...I wonder if all human babies are like this."
A snicker slipped out softly as Sans ducked further behind the wall at the top of the stairs. He couldn't blow this especially not when he was so close to the prize. Papyrus crossed his legs at one point mumbling about tired arms laying Winfred in his lap propped up by his thigh.
"There much better. And you aren't complaining so you can stay like this."
He leaned against his fist for only a moment before changing too run phalanges through the ever growing strains of red sitting on her head.
"You best be lucky about who your father is little human...and even luckier still for having someone like me who is your uncle! You wouldn't last long down here without us."
He paused glancing around the area as his sentence faded away softly; when he went to look up the stairs Sans fully hid again before refocusing his phone camera.
Please, don't take my sunshine away
I dreamt I held you in my arms
So I hung my head and cried
Please, don't take my sunshine away
Please, don't take my sunshine away."
Sans almost forgot he was recording leaning on the wall with the softest smile across his skull. The tender look Papyrus wore as he continued running his phalanges through her hair so gently while singing, his other hand on her belly rising and falling with her breathing. She never stopped looking at him even just silently holding the bottle regardless of the fact that it was empty. It was like she was in a trance from his voice. This was what Sans wanted to see so badly with how much Pap hid it; he loved his little niece just as much as Sans thought he did. His bones warmed by the affection covering the room he finally stopped the recording hiding his phone away and eased down the stairs after a few quiet moments.
"Thanks for watching her for me bro, I managed to clean up some of her stuff finally and moved the smaller baby clothes out."
Papyrus cleared his throat abruptly with the lightest of red dusting his cheek bones removing the bottle so he could move Winfred to be burped.
"A burden but at least she was quiet."
"Heh, must of been hungry as heck then."
A soft burp from the baby before handing her back to Sans who propped her up on his shoulder.
"I'm gonna get her dressed so we can go see Uncle Grillby together."
"Very well, try not to make a absolute fool of yourself being out with her."
Turning on his heel back up the stairs Winfred babbled softly leaving her Uncle with a innocent smile.
Papyrus felt his soul twist cursing himself.
"Damn it...I truly am wrapped it seems."
