Would Terry in any era want to befriend beloved first and get to know them gradually before dating them or immediately jump into a relationship with them?
I think if Terry just jumps into anything, he's probably not very invested. It is a very surface level thing. The way it was in S4EP1. Now, for all his eagerness and desire to just take an object of his interest, which lets be real, is ever present, but bottom line is, I feel that in any decade of his life, if he actually bothers getting close to someone, befriending them, telling them about himself (which is literally crucial), asking about them (or researching about them, rather...just stalking the truth out) that he is for sure more invested than not at all. Time is money and so are informations and if he genuinely bothers to make the effort to get attached and form a connection outside of the basics of flaunting money, flaunting flesh, flaunting social points and flaunting mutual advantage, I'd say he cares, in his own Terry Silver way. Few things are as peculiar as researching the one he has eyes for, in such cases, every bit of intel matters. Ranging from what they wear to bed, to if they touch themselves at night, what secrets they harbour and what they ate for breakfast. Now, we failed to mention that fact that Terry might easily get to know beloved after, say, kidnapping them, but it is the thought and effort that counts.
