Time Travel. Were we asking the right questions?

What is real? What makes you believe that the person sitting in front of you across the table and talking to you is actually there? When the day comes when technology and 3D projections and holograms are too good for a human eye to differentiate from the real world, what would be the definition of "Real"?

If what we believe is real is nothing but the signals our senses send to our brain, then we know that at times we choose to believe a lie. Not because we are ignorant or being fooled, but because the truth doesn't matter. What matters is how the experience makes us feel. How else would you enjoy a good 3D movie in spite of knowing its a trick to fool your eyes?

So if its all about experience and not how it was achieved, then are we being too stubborn expecting science to answer all the questions. Our search for a worm hole, or trying to accelerate a particle faster than the speed of light seems to be a lot of effort. Now, I don't say this quest is not important. Hell yeah its important for our race to move forward but may be there is another way to travel time.

What if Time Travel was not how we thought it would be? What if there were no gears and machines and levers and pulley? Go back 200 years and imagine someone telling you, one day it would be possible for man to fly. How would have you imagined it? Hands up in the air and taking off, or arms flapping like a bird? In your wildest of thoughts would you have imagined that it would actually happen sitting in a chair with absolutely no wind in your hair?

My point is, what if instead of all the imagination and fantasy that H.G.Wells gave us to dream about, in the end Time Travel was all about an experience? If you could feel the same adrenalin, the anxiety, the excitement, that quirkiness and that surprise when a person from a different time that doesn't exist today tries to connect with you without using a worm hole or warp speed, will it not be Time Travel still?

With those words my friends, we give you Timeport. A dream, a quest, a belief to make Time Travel into the future a reality! A world where portals open in real world from different time and place and the people you knew once get to talk to you today. So are you ready to leap into the Future?

Timeport. The Inception.

We are Psi Phi Labs, a tech startup based out of Bangalore, India.  A small, bootstrapped team that's slowly making its name for its insanely crazy and futuristic way of looking at things and turning it over its head. Psi Phi Labs is all set to kickstart a new era of technology-emotion interaction  products with the launch of its latest product called Timeport.

Timeport is the beginning of what seems to be an adventurous journey ahead. Its is not just a product, a technology but a belief system to make time travel experience into the future a reality and let us connect with our loved ones and even ourselves at places and moments yet to happen.

It all started with one small idea. What if there was a Time Machine in today's world. What would it do, how would it work, how would it make us feel and even going deep into what would be its limitations and real world implications. We took all that science, math, geography, human psychology and experience, put it together piece by piece, layer over layer till everything made sense and started becoming real.

When we talk about Time Travel into the future, we are not only traveling time but we end up landing somewhere at a specific place. You set the destination time to May 6th, 2022 and you find your self in your grand daughter's room. Its just that Alice is not 10 anymore. Its her 18th birthday today! But this portal cannot remain open forever, its taking too much of energy and will collapse in 10 mins. Your daughter gets a msg on her phone. Someone from the past is trying to connect with you. Hurry, reach your house before the portal collapses. She gets excited and curious at the same time because she doesn't know who is trying to reach her. It could be someone important. What if its her grandmother? She misses her so much. Has sweet memories of her granny from her childhood when she was around. Alice rushes back, opens the door of her room, carefully looks through her mobile camera that can detect active portals...turning and turning and there...things near that small window starts swirling...and shwwwwooosh. the portal unlocks and your future grand daughter gets to see her grandmother talk to her 8 years from the past!

That's what Timeport has made possible, and that's Time Travel for us. What we experience is what's real for us, we dont care if it happened through a wormhole, bending of space or some string theory. What matters is, we got to meet people who are not in our time yet/now!
