My Thoughts The story is okay. I really like how the heroine is persistant and optimistic about love. The heroine thinks about others even if they hurt her. Noel is a tame yandere with no high stakes. Since this is an anthology, there is not a lot of character development. I feel like the author puts the cursed duke with no curse cliché as a trauma factor or pity point. His trauma felt underwhelming and also random. If he thinks he is cursed, then he would've develop self-loathing and possibly isolation. In the story, he felt like any normal person who can have have these thoughts sometimes

How they started interacting with the target: Cedric fell in love with Noella before she became a fallen noble. He described her as elegant and graceful.

Progression: After Noella's downfall, he became fixiated on her and influece her staying at his estate. While feeling isolated, he stays anonymous and sends her flowers with thoughtful messages. Rather than revealing his identity as a duke, he inserts himself in many ways until she feel comforted by his prescence.

Current dynamic: They are married, and he offers his eternal love to her.

Boundaries: Noella doesn't know Cedric's obsessive desire towards her. The relationship is built on hidden involvement than informed trust. Danger level: High

My Thoughts: Chapter 3 was a tad better than Chapter 2. It still had its cliches of a heroine who is the damsel in distress, one-dimensional bullies, and the male lead there to save the day. What makes chapter 3 better is you can see his yandere acts rather than him subtly telling us in the text. This is nitpicky of me, but I like the ones who would actively try to protect the heroine. The male lead here is a bit messed up. While she feels isolated, he gives her thoughtful cards while being anonymous, making her think that he is the only one that cares for her. I don't like that he doesn't do anything immediately when the bullies abuse her. It was stated in the manga that she first started to work at the mansion at a working age, and there were mentions of seasons having passed. I assume the maids bullied her at the start when they saw her not smiling at them, and now they assume that she is above them. I wished he would have gotten rid of them in the middle instead of playing this identity game with her.

CONCLUSION Type: Manipulative Threat Level: Medium-High Effectiveness as a Yandere: Show, don't tell done well. Wished he had done something sooner rather than later. Ratings: 3.5/5

I am practicing writing case studies for any yanderes I encounter. I do want to take this with a grain of salt that not all the people I try to record their behaviors are not going be yanderes. There are bad writtern one that are regular people but the title is claiming they are yandere. Once I finish this anthology, I will focus on more obvious one. So bear with me.

How they started interacting with the target: They met while they were kids. Albert saved Lucia from almost being kidnapped for child trafficking. He calmed her down with a picture book. The picture book tells a story of twins and how the younger twin is considered a blessing. For context, the kingdom believes that twins are a curse.

Initial behavior: protective, kind

Progression: He likely fell in love with her when he wasn’t sure if he was loved by his parents. The heroine said that she loved him because he saved and comforted her.

Current dynamic: The relationship is not toxic, and he cherishes her like any normal person.

Boundaries: Does not visibly cross her stated boundaries Danger level: Low -would seach throught the entire kingdom for her; stalking - would theaten others, but stop if his lover say no -"No crimes left unpunished."

My Thoughts: This story is not even a yandere story, and it's just full of cliches. It's basically like Cinderella but way worse. Like, how come the elder sister is not punished for being the twin if the kingdom said twins are cursed beings? The prince is just a normal guy who protects those who are mistreated. The worst part he did, which the elder sister deserved, was to throw her into the demon realm as a criminal. I wish he had a backstory or did something horrendous behind the scenes to show how far he was able to go for the heroine. There is potential, but I don't think the author knows what a yandere even is.

CONCLUSION Type: Protective Threat Level: Low Effectiveness as a Yandere: Underwhelming. There was no sense of obsession or possessiveness. Ratings: 1/5
