All Along There Was This Invisible String // PsychicEgo Fog
It had been a long month, the fog overstaying its welcome, especially for Arin. Stuck in a body of a different name, of her name. He missed his friends who he hadn't been around or couldn't speak openly to as himself. He couldn't not think about her, he couldn't get away from her. In a weird way more than ever, he couldn't get away from himself, even if he'd only seen his own body maybe twice all month. He lays down in her bed again another night and at least relishes in the warmth of a big bed that smells like her.
As the midnight hour approaches the fog begins to roll out inch by inch over campus and back up into the mountains until its next encore. He finds himself waking up in a dream once again. The world almost all black, blue glows halo the edges and corners in light blue like he was walking through a neon sign while he follows the thread this last time. This time when he steps into the quad and sees another glowing soul joining him its much more clear. She was lined in the same ghostly blue, but it was clearly Suzy's hand that held his final bow to untie, the last path of red string stretched between them. He could see her now. "Hey, Arin." he says playfully to her across the grass that glowed under their feet where they stepped. @suzydoozy
