Wish they’d show more Asian movies in Dutch cinemas. There’s a whole world out there you don’t get to see unless you know where to “find” them. I’d love to be able to buy proper tickets for all of them. Did my best last year. I saw three of these movies (and a bunch of others) at a Japanese Film Festival in Rotterdam. One of these is on Netflix. And some of the others... well I saw them too, or I will, somehow...

POSTERS OF THE WEEK: SEVEN DAYS MANGA LIVE ADAPTATION FEATURES JAMES TAKESHI YAMADA & TOMOKI HIROSE!

Boys Love (BL) Manga "Seven Days" is having a live action adaptation starring James Takeshi Yamada and Tomoki Hirose. The production team behind the movie also did the popular Takumi kun series and No Touch. The posters below is nothing less than provocative - an indication of the kind of relationship between the two leads.

MangaFox (via Vices and Devices) posted the storyline and access to the two volumes can be browsed there as well:

Bright and early one Monday morning, Shino Yuzuru (James Takeshi Yama) asks Seryou Touji (Tomoki Hirose) out on a lark when they run into each other at the school gate. Seryou, who's immensely popular, has the odd habit of going out with anyone who asks him out first at the beginning of the week, then promptly dumping them at the end of it. "Anyone" apparently includes male upperclassmen like Shino, and as a boyfriend, Seryou is perfect--unfailingly thoughtful and kind. Shino, obviously, has no intention of being in a serious relationship with Seryou. It's not like it's actually love or anything like that. ...Right? [ source ]

This will be James Takeshi Yamada's first major role. He did supporting parts in L-DK and Sion Sono's Tokyo Tribe and also appeared in the drama Hell Teacher Nube. Tomoki Hirose (who is already in his late twenties but still looks like a schoolboy) is known for Gachiban Trial (2012) and Gachiban Worst Max(2012).  His blog @Amoeba shows a lot of his acting activities.

Seven Days (Monday-Thursday) will be released in June 6th, while Part 2 (Friday-Sunday) will be shown on the following month, on July 4th 2015.
