This looks like your comic, papertrail
I dunno if there's that much relation to Paper Trail since those are Floweys instead of Ralseis..... but Susie's joke at the end is really good, lol.

Hi 😊
I love you're daughter in law (well now wife in law 😂) stories, but i have to ask, do servants know what's going on? I mean you can hide it from nobles but not really from servants, and did the word about that arrangement ever reached King Daeron and Queen Myrah (and even daughter in law's parents??)
Hehehe thank you so much! I'm so happy you're enjoying them ☺️
The servants definitely know. There's no way they don't, especially with how careless our girls are. I wrote about this in another ask, here is the link!
As for King Daeron and Queen Myriah and the DILs parents, that is a very good question. I def don't think the DILs parents know. I have them as living at their own lands a while away from King's Landing so they're not at court and don't see all these crazy shenanigans happening. When they visit, I think they see that the DILs aren't very interested in their own husbands, but they see their daughter is happy and that they have children, and they don't question it past that.
I def think Queen Myriah knows. She def knows about Baelor and his DIL because I have a feeling she knows her eldest very well and can see that since Valarr's wedding, his demeanour has changed. She sees that he spends a lot of time talking to his DIL, that he's overly kind and nice to her, more than usual (def more than her own father in law LOL). So she sort of gets a feeling about it, an inkling if you will. Then, when DIL!B has children, she def figures it out.
I kind of talked about it in an ask about how DIL!B has a daughter and that Baelor is a very committed "grandsire" but I think this would make it clear to both Queen Myriah and King Daeron that that child is def Baelor's. They are both very loving of their own grandchildren, but Baelor is literally always there, always spending time with your kids, even more than Valarr. This is not normal grandsire behaviour, they know from experience.
I think it's kind of like how I originally described how Valarr and Aerion know about what's going on. They kind of know that there is something there, but they choose not to acknowledge it to keep their own peace. Ignorance is bliss and whatnot.
For Maekar and DIL!M it highly depends. If they are at Summerhall, then I don't think the people of King's Landing would know. They live in their own lovely bubble at Summerhall and obvi the servants know, but no one past that. If someone comes to visit, then they'll def get curious and suspicious, you guys are wayyyy too close for it to be normal, but then they leave and they don't have to think about it anymore.
If Maekar and DIL!M are in King's Landing, then eeeeeveryone knows. They are not subtle. At all. Queen Myriah and King Daeron know from the moment they see you tugging on Maekar's arm or going to him to ask for stuff that usually a husband is supposed to handle. But they also know Aerion's personality and how some arranged marriages can be, so they don't really ask questions. Maekar is the fourth prince, no one will be able to tell that your children aren't Aerion's, it's not really an issue there.
Yeah, anywayssss, sorry for the long ramble, but I just love talking about this universe. These girls and these men are my everythinggggg.
When Toriel asked Susie about giving her clothes for church, I couldn't help but remember Paper Trail when Noelle gave Susie an outfit instead. Imagine the timeline we could have had if Susie showed up to church in THIS:
OMG those sprites are so good...perfect face for her here!
Also, EVEN BETTER IDEA: the church dress still belonged to Asriel.
I'm rereading papertrails and... you lowkey called out the piano puzzle thing of the player being incapable while kris could. ggs. Love that for you.
add on to the piano congratulations. in the same chapter you even had the roller coaster... calling out bangers left n right
Haha, thank you! It was so fun to try and extrapolate dark world ideas from the little bits we got in chapter one, and still wild to see some of those happen in some form!
just reread Paper Trail for the first time since it was finished. i was grinning the whole way through at all your prophetic plot details and odd little coincidences. one of my favorites was the chapter 2 musical trio. tell me, am i going crazy or did you predict carol's name and her exact vibe three chapters early???
Awww thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed revisiting PT! :D All of the little coincidences there still kind of boggle my mind, too! Especially the really small, almost irrelevant things like the musical trio, or the shelter noise in the Holiday basement...
But as for Carol, I can't be the only one that got that name or that vibe from her that early! Even in chapter one we had little hints that she was a cold and intimidating person, and "C" standing for "Carol" was a pretty easy guess considering the holiday name theming!
How would each of the six princes react to the light world? With out the whole world ending stuff. Btw your work is amazing.
Hmm, let's see...
Eslira is very people-shy, so he'd probably still try and avoid any bustling parts of town. Please just leave him alone in the woods. Also dang, it is bright out here!
Aelsir is going to explore explore explore! It's an exciting new adventure to him!
Irales tries to go about the place business as usual, but he often ends up being quietly judgmental about anything in the light world that doesn't seem up to snuff. This is supposed to be the world where everything functions best! Why are some things such a pain!
Sareli would mostly just hole himself up in the librarby and be happy reading. He's a little afraid that touching anything he doesn't understand will break it.
Lairse is out here JUDGING ALL MONSTERS. Stay out of his way!
And thank you so much!!
Hi, sorry if you get asked this a lot, but... Does Paper Trail really end like this, with Chapter 70, or did you just stop for a while and then continue? How do they work? Because the ending is very abrupt, and I find it strange that it ends like this. Thanks.
Yes, that was always where it was intended to end. The player (i.e. the reader) disconnects from Kris willingly in order to give Kris back their free will, and with that, a real fighting chance against what Gaster has planned. However, that lack of connection means the player/reader can't see what happens as a result.
If there was one character from Chapters 2-4 you'd retroactively want to put into Paper Trail, who would it be?
Probably Queen. She's just so friggin' funny, it'd be great to mess around with her dialogue more. But again, don't know if any character could be included without the dark worlds they belong to.
