i would love it if you did go on for centuries about that big hero 6 au where tadashi's the hero and hiro dies. it sounds heartbreaking but fascinating!
First and foremost, please know that I have not seen the movie yet. This is just something I came up with after reading the synposis.
Switched!AU: Where Tadashi is the hero and Hiro dies.
Tadashi, as everyone knows, loves his little brother. He would do anything for the little kid. As the events of the movie go, when the fire went off, Tadashi wasn't the one that lept to the rescue. It was Hiro. 14 year old Hiro went in to save the professor, with Tadashi almost at his heels.
Professor Callaghan was still in the building. Even after everyone was evacuated. Hiro, realizing that he was the better canidate to get Callaghan, jumped to the rescue, while everyone was being pushed out of the building. Tadashi realized that his brother wasn't by him and turns around to get him, but was pushed back, yelling that he had to get his brother. While everyone else is safely out, Tadashi is being held back by his friends, trying to be kept away from jumping to the rescue. As we all know, the building explodes.
Tadashi, heartbroken and lost all strength, conceals all his feelings. Why hadn't he been the one to go in instead of Hiro? His little brother out of everyone. Gone. The college student goes home to tell Aunt Cass about the fire and Hiro, his voice dead. Inside he felt dead. The little boy who had gone in to save the professor. A true hero.
The days leading up to the funeral, Tadashi secludes himself {Like Hiro} from everyone. While he avidly works on his projects, he forgets Hiro. For just a while, until he left. The scene of Hiro running towards the fire never left his mind. Most nights, all Tadashi can think about is Hiro, being the hero, what he could have done to keep Hiro from running into the building, how his little brother would have beel alive if he was the one to go in instead of him.
Even after the funeral, Tadashi blamed himself for Hiro's death. One day, the guilt ridden student turns on his project, Baymax, to do some ruitine checks, and they somehow stumble onto Yokai's warehouse of Hiro's stolen project.
Realizing that Hiro's project was ripped out from under him, Tadashi goes into full blown rage. He and his friends, make armor for the war that is soon to come.
Movie continues, but instead of Tadashi using Baymax to hurt Callaghan, he does it himself. He has the right, right? A life for a life. Go Go, Honey, Wasabi and Fred have to hold a crying Tadashi from killing the Professor, while Tadashi thrashes around, screeching that Hiro died in the building. His precious little brother who he'd been for since birth. The little dork himself.
Tadashi knows that killing the professor would be wrong, but he just couldn't imagine what kind of excuse it would cost for Callaghan to make to even justify why he shouldn't tear him to shreads.
As the story goes, Tadashi and the gang get Callaghan's daughter from the portal, loosing Baymax.
After it's all said and done, Tadashi still never forgave Callaghan for his actions. He would continue to go to college and work on his degrees, work on rebuilding Baymax. The ache of loosing Hiro never went away. It would never go away, but Baymax would always be there for Tadashi along with his friends.
