Many years ago now I told myself I wanted to start drawing the comic for Sluice Creek née Monkeywrench by the time I was the same age as Basil, the protagonist. I have 1 year

Commissions?
Place I work (semi-seasonal) looks like it's going to be closed for a lot more of the winter than originally planned and so I'm not going to have a huge amount of income for January or much of February. Anyone interested in commissioning me, in the style below (or tbh any other style of mine?) Prices TBD but probably in the $30-80 range depending on size, complexity, etc., the usual.
(To be clear, if there's interest I'll work up a price sheet and a Google form, I just don't want to go to the trouble if everyone else is also sort of broke right now).
?
Yes, I would actively be interested in buying a commission
I would be tentatively interested in buying a commission
I want to show support but have no intention/means to actually commission
Not interested in commissioning
I really want to start actually working on a comic for The Project Formerly Known As Monkeywrench, but given how bad I am at keeping up with Untitled Fanventure (despite still being really passionate about it!) somehow I don't think adding a second long-running webcomic project that eats up all my time while making me no money is a very good idea
Good website builders/hosts?
Hey gang. Looking to switch my website from its current platform to a new one here in a couple months when the annual subscription runs out but I'm not entirely sure what all the options are beyond the really big companies that dominate the market. I'm looking for something that has a visual editor that is easy to work with & flexible, while still letting me dig into the code and write custom HTML/CSS when I need that. Anyone have any recs?
I'm planning a slugcat group attack as one of the things I'm doing for Art Fight this year! Send me your scugs' Art Fight pages if you want me to include them 👀
Art Fight!
I'm participating again, just like the last couple of years! Find me at https://artfight.net/~Percivalias (same username as Tumblr) >:3
I made a post sort of off-handedly on my side blog last week about pivoting to largely using an email newsletter to share my artwork, and while I wasn't super serious about it when I made the post, I'm now genuinely considering starting an email newsletter of some sort. Posting publically about certain things related to my practice (big projects, events I'm vending at, commission slots, etc.) can really psych me out.
The email list would be free to join and the link would be publically available, and I would email about once a month with what I'm working on, process notes, WIP work, events I'll be attending/vending/hosting, and commission information. I'll still post finished pieces publically, but I feel like a slightly more private environment would be better for some stuff.
Feel free to comment or send an ask with any thoughts or suggestions!
Would you be interested in joining an email newletter about my work (as detailed above)?
Yes
Yes, but I don't use email and/or would prefer this on a different platform
No
Color wheel challenge!
I'm gonna try that color wheel challenge that was going around a couple months ago, but instead of drawing fanart I want to do scientific illustration. Send me your favorite red(dish) plants/animals/fungi (invertebrates welcome)!
