what did you love so much about Tokyo Mew Mew?

oh my god it was the only magical girl anime that showed on tv in the uk when I was in my teens, we didn’t have sailor moon at the time! although ofc I later realised it was hugely similar to SM. I had never seen femininity and action/adventure blended in such a colourful and sugary way and I was thirsty for all the PVC looking outfits everyone was rocking. It was so delicious and I loved all the drama w the girls, the elaborate attack sequences, and the first-crush fantasy stuff!
