Basically I sat down and looked at all the books I've been buying over the last couple months and took account of all the books I was actually reading week to week (for example I have 5 issues of The Flash that I haven't touched since I bought them, same goes for Namor, Green Arrow, and Starborn just to name a few) and I cut all the things I was really behind on.
After that I looked at the books I had left and asked myself a few questions:
Which of these am I really enjoying?
Which of these are quality books?
Do I want to see more books like these put out?
Does this book feature characters I care about?
Has the writer pissed me off lately? (See: Ed Brubaker, Matt Fraction, Gail Simone)
Which of these are books that deserve my money?
And with all those questions answered, I got that list.
