Back in the Eighties, Nelvana attempted to jump out of animating drivel for previously licensed properties and create something new. Something daring. Something.... animated... that was intended for adults to enjoy. After a whole lot of costly, intensive animation and several musical guest star contributions, the result was unleashed upon the world... and promptly sank into obscurity. TONIGHT, we revisit an oft-overlooked but vital keystone of both rock legend and animation lore: ROCK AND RULE.

Anime Night II (co-curated by Puppytube Comix) comes to a head with a perfectly preserved specimen of Early Nineties Anime Dub that is no less than DEFINITIVE of the entirety of Early Nineties Anime Dubs. From the vaguely defined futuristic setting to the cartoony ultra-violence to the liberally sprinkled-in "THESE AIN'T YOUR GRANDPA'S CARTOONS" cusses, tonight's feature is a rare gem for both newbies and for anyone who can remember pawing through rows of weird-looking VHSes at their local Blockbuster. It's CYBER CITY OEDO!

TONIGHT ON BAD MOVIE NIGHT: We had to postpone from last night due to technical issues of questionable legality (the question being: "Is it legal to torrent an anime most people have forgotten about by now? The answer being "of course not, but whatever"). HOWEVER, thanks to my roommate's elite hacker skillz we managed to find a FULL, UN-SCREWED-AROUND-WITH copy of tonight's feature: a heartwarming tale of star-crossed lovers weathering a crisis of faith. 

...Except the "crisis" is a drug that turns people into horrifying hellbeasts. And the lovers are siblings. Hold onto your sense of human decency, folks, because tonight's Anime Night II feature is ANGEL SANCTUARY!
