This is Poetry in motion

When I watch this scene I immediately focus on the pain in her face, how he sways towards her, how she gives in and finally touches him, how he rubs her hand with his thumb, the way she looks up at him and how he never stopped looking at her.

All while the smoke surrounds them.

okaaaay, but this scene right here????? a masterpiece. ivan always expresses his feelings through his drawings and they are scattered across his bed. (a space that is very private, intimate and also vulnerable) the drawings of course capture lovro and little moments or objects of their shared time together. and lovro then lies down right in the middle of that all. and then he transforms into one of ivans drawings himself. it’s so powerful and poetic. lovro finally enters ivans most personal space and becoming a part of it. of his inner world. while also allowing himself to be let in. finally, their worlds collide.

aaaaaaand lovro said in episode 8 he wanted to lie beside ivan, sleep next to him and watch him and whatever. he really wanted to be close to him. in the most intimate, human way. and in this scene, he kinda does. by laying in ivans very personal/safe space (his bed) surrounded by his drawings. (his inner wolrd). the slow transition from lovro transforming into an animated drawing. peak cinema. they aaaaate with that.

in this episode, zari does a line of dead god ash cocaine with a thousand year old god impersonator who’s making everyone in jane austen’s era horny, and then does a fully choreographed bollywood song with him about getting married. also everyone has wet dreams at once
