Aesthetics are definitely a newer thing; they weren’t around three years ago, or at the very least, weren’t as common as they are now. When I first started rping Kim, pretty much everyone just used base 100x100 icons, no patterns, no borders, no fancy psds, and container themes were relatively new at the time, as well. I think I got into independent rp at the right time, because I’ve been able to pick up on a lot of trends/skills as I’ve gone along, and if I started now I think it’d be really overwhelming and I wouldn’t no where to begin. The icon thing was especially new to be because I had rped on Tumblr from 2011–2012, and then I took a break from rping for a while to focus on school and returned after a bad breakup and losing my grandfather. When I first rped on Tumblr, everyone used huge gifs. I’m glad that’s changed and I’m a fan of the icons, to be honest.

          Airplanes had always bothered Jefferson.  To him, they smelled like air fresheners, were unbearably loud during takeoff, and much too cramped to fit all of the people that would inevitably end up snoring through half the flight.  True, he’d grown more accustomed to them over the years, but he still found the experience much more bearable when in the presence of decent company.  And Max had been, without a doubt, the best he could’ve hoped for. 

          Needless to say, their arrival at the hotel room the school had booked -- a single suite?  he was sure they’d mentioned a double -- and the accompanying silence came as an enormous relief.  He made no effort to hide his newly-found comfort, either; after depositing their suitcases next to the door, Mark heaved out a long sigh and rolled his shoulders, neck cracking as his head tilted side to side. 

           ❛ ---- WELL.  They certainly spared no expense on the room, though it looks like I’ll be getting well acquainted with the couch. ❜
