Hi! Could you write a small review about True Detective S3? I read many negative reviews about the 2nd season, so I'm not sure if the 3rd season is worth watching cuz often next seasons are worse than previous ones...
Oh man, first of all I suck at writing and i couldn’t write a review that could be read as such at all. So here are some lines about it just throwing them around.As it happens there are people that were very into s3 and were a bit (some a lot) disappointed about the final episode. And then there are others like myself that loved it SO MUCH. So I can’t tell you if you are going to waste your time or not based on the ending. I can tell you that the characters that Nic Pizzolatto created - Wayne played by Mahershala Ali - and Roland played by Stephen Dorff are very very likable. There’s banter between them and a chemistry you get behind as soon as they appear on screen. Their lines are awesome and some scenes that are imo unforgettable. I wasn’t particularly fond of s2, maybe I should rewatch it and give it another chance. I definitely spend too long between the last episode and the previous ones, like months. I just wasn’t that invested but to be fair i had other things going on so maybe I didn’t pay as much attention.All that considered, I do believe people are liking s3 more than s2 in general just some are “let down” but the ending.The story happens between 3 different timelines: 80s, 90s and 2010′s so it’s not like s2 not like s1 (2 timelines). They are always investigating the same case but their personal circumstances change mostly because of the case. I loved the ending and I am waiting to get home to rewatch the entire season again. Stephen Dorff is just amazing in it. I wasn’t expecting it. I was expecting it in Mahershala and he rocked it... but I am more impressed by Stephen Dorff and the layers he gives to his character. I hope you give it a chance and if you at the end feel let down, I’m sorry and remember that i told you that i liked it so that’s my opinion haha :)
