👻Talking to the Nice Ghosts👻
Hello, my minties! A little setup I made for mediumship, but I’m not sure how well this will work for someone who’s not eclectic. The key skills here include: mediumship, scrying, pendulum reading. If you have an idea of these, you should be fine. I’ll probably create a post to help witches and baby witches who are looking into mediumship with tips and techniques sometime this week. Primary elements used: Water, Fire, Spirit
A white/light amulet/statuette to represent purity (I chose an octopus to retain information and capture the negative energy that might try to interfere. Here are some links to what I mean: target figurines, my octopus)
Gems (I would say to have at least one clear quartz, I recommend Amethyst) to attract ghosts (Not a gem person? Use mint or lemon-herb!)
Two White Candles and a Lighter
A Pen (I recommend the color blue or purple, as those are commonly associated with the spirit)
Paper (if you’re more on the tech-side of witchcraft or are trying to reduce paper use, you can use a drawing app on the iPad)
Crystal Wand (Optional. You can just use your hand in place of the wand, but it’s nice because of the connection of crystals to the spirit.)
!RECOMMENDED! A journal to log what you receive
Use the pen and paper to make a circle with four sections. “Yes,” “No.” “Look into the bowl,” and “Goodbye.” Below the circle should be “Final Goodbye.” Use the pendulum by arranging the paper so the “Goodbye” is at the bottom of the circle; counter-clockwise spin means to look into the bowl to communicate through crying, clockwise means “no,” a movement up and down means “yes,” and side-to-side means “inconclusive.” The crystal wand is to aid in scrying, as can the gems, though the gems are meant to attract ghosts. Keep things white for the “nice” and purple for the “ghosts.” Use the light of the candles to contribute in messaging with the spirit(s) through the reflection of the water. If you do not have a gruesome mind, you can do this in the dark, where the ghosts will be searching for the light to find you. if your mind often wanders to bad places in the shadows, just keep the place lit. If you are using herbs and not crystals, place the selected quantity of herbs in the corner of the page. Use the dice when needing numbers, adding them together, or complex meanings.
What each number could mean (you can adjust as needed or create your own entirely) :
Growth/Potential (Six/Ace)
