The white wolf hummed quietly to herself as she her eyes skimmed over the page of the book she was reading, it was beginning to get chilly in the mornings, so she spent her free afternoons sitting under the tree in her yard, reading her favorite book while it was still rather warm.
However, she glanced up from her book as she heard someone approaching, a fond smiled rested on her muzzle as she saw who it was. “Good afternoon Ai!” She said, as the other approached. “How are you today?” She asked, marking her place in her book and setting it on the grass next to her chair.

Ever since summer rolled around, the days were getting longer and surprisingly easier. There hadn’t been too much paperwork to fill out at the Town Hall, the village itself hadn’t really been needing touch-up, and Isabelle found herself leaving the day earlier most of the time because she had finished up all of her work early. With it not even being noon at this point, Isabelle walked over to Mayor Ai, tapping her on the shoulder with a sheepish smile on her face.
“Mayor? Um, I was wondering...are you busy? There isn’t much going on, and I thought it would be a good time to take a break to Tortimer Island! Of course, if you’re not busy. I see you going all of the time, and I feel like I’m constantly swamped with work so I can never go. But now? My schedule feels more free than ever! So, would you like to go?”
Well, this was an awkward predicament. Ai felt like she was looking into a mirror. "A-Are you... Me?..." She felt rather uneasy at the sight of seeing a duplicate of herself standing in front of her in person.
“I don’t think so,” Pinkette giggled “We do look awfully similar though, huh?”
"I-Isabelle~? ...I guess it's safe to say... I-I have a boyfriend now." All she could do is blush upon saying that.
Isabelle turned to Ai and smiled the widest she’d done all day, arms already wrapping around the Mayor.
“Mayor Ai, that’s wonderful! See? I knew you would be great with him! So, how did it go? Tell me everything!” Isabelle shouts as she poorly contains her in place bouncing. She backs off of Ai with a grin that hadn’t faltered once.

“So... They just made you a mayor too?” Apparently animals didn’t do elections or anything. Just get a human in, and make them the mayor. Quick, easy, and maybe how a mayoral system works. Probably.
