Can you pay extra costs with Pyromancer's Goggles when casting spells without paying their mana costs to get an extra copy?
No, not unless something is imposing an extra cost.
You can’t overpay for a spell, so you’ll only be able to get a copy of a “free” spell with Pyromancer’s Goggles if something like Sphere of Resistance or Thalia is imposing additional costs on the spell.
hello, i have a pyromancers goggle's on the battlefield, i float the red mana of goggles, play another pyromancers goggle's and using the 2 red mana from my goggles to cast dragon fodder. how many copies do i get? 2 copies and the current spell so i get 6 tokens? am i correct?
Correct. You’ll get two copies of the spell in addition to the original spell.
I have pyromancer's goggles. If I use them to cast boiling earth and pay the awaken cost do I get two land creatures?
Yes. The copy has the same choices made for it as the original, including if an alternate cost such as Awaken wad paid.
If I copy a Fall of the Titans with surge cost with Pyromancer's Goggle 1R x4. The first copy targeting a creature and a player. The second directly to the player. Do I target the player twice or does the player take 8?
The copy can’t just target the player. It has to also have two targets since the original spell had two targets.
When you copy a spell, it has the same modes and targets (including number of targets) chosen for it. Most abilities that copy spells say you can choose new targets, but the modes of the spell and the number of targets must remain the same.
does pyromancers goggle's count as a mana ability?
Yes.
Pyromancer’s Goggles’ activated ability is a mana ability because it will add mana to your mana pool when it resolves, it doesn’t have a target, and it’s not a loyalty ability.
The fact that it also sets up a delayed triggered ability for when its mana is spent doesn’t change any of these facts.
