I just wanted to say that your RP looks great and you guys are doing a good job! Before I apply, I was wondering if you would be welcoming of any of your skeletons being portrayed as nonbinary?

All of the characters are written with they/them pronouns, because I assume the character doesn’t fit into a gender binary until a writer takes up their skeleton. Though many skeletons have FC suggestions that are feminine or masculine, you’re free to apply to them with non-binary faceclaims. This is part of the reason that we don’t have “open female” and “open male” spaces --- because I don’t want to limit writers when it comes to the gender of our characters.

Character Development: Task Three

Please like this post if you wish to be part of a random pairing for the next event. 

Today’s task is to let us know if you’d like your character to be randomly paired with another for a thread at the upcoming Halloween Party. Please only like this if you know you’ll be able to commit time to threads and gif-chats. You have until 5:00 PM EST on October 27th to let us know if you’d like to be involved in this pairing. If you have a character on a side-blog, please comment if you want them involved as well. 

Unlike our last pairing event, we’ll be sending you some spooky prompts to go along with your threads this event! We won’t be godmoding your characters, but will give you a setting and a hook for your characters to play around with.

This task is also optional, but highly encouraged.

Good morning!

This is just a reminder that, after a few messages and a vote in the Discord, our event will be extended until February 23rd at 9:00 PM EST. 

Please also note that our activity policy will be changing this Sunday. Rather than doing activity checks on Friday, I’ll be conducting them on Saturdays and posting up unfollows on Sundays. This will still give people over 24 hours to respond to activity warnings, and it works with my current level of availability.

Character Development Task Nine!

It’s Sunday, which means it’s time for another installment of our character development tasks! These tasks are always are optional, but they are encouraged and participating in them will count toward your activity for the week. I’ll still be posting a challenge the day of our next game, but this is a task to complete before then.

Task Nine.

Make a playlist! This is a pretty standard task, but I’d like you to get creative with it. Make your playlist about a specific relationship with another character, or maybe make one about a defining moment in your character’s life. You could make a playlist of songs that your character listens to, or you could make a playlist full of songs that just remind you of your character. There’s a lot you can do with this, and I’m excited to see what you guys come up with. I’m looking forward to hearing what inspires everyone to write.

These tasks are always are optional, but they are encouraged and participating in them will count toward your activity for the week. I’ll still be posting a challenge the day of our next game, but here are some small tasks to get us started.

Task Seven

Create a moodboard for your character! There’s a lot of ways you can do this. You could create an aesthetic moodboard (like this), or a gif moodboard (seen here). I really like moodboards, because you don’t necessarily have to have a photo editing program to make something that’s both fun and meaningful. If you need any help finding gifs or resources, please feel free to message me. I’m always happy to help out.

Task Eight

Create an outline of your character’s day. We don’t expect you to have anything planned down to the minute, but we would love to know what an average day looks like for your character. When do they wake up? How do they spend their time? Do they have any routines they try to follow? We’d love to know! You can attach this to the moodboard, if you like, or you can make a completely new post or graphic.
