Killjoys, I love you. But Pree’s awesomeness doesn’t excuse the cringeworthiness of the way the Qreshi dude’s mannerisms do that classic stereotypical thing of conflating femininity/queerness with the evils of the bourgeois.

Especially not this season when Pree’s been presenting a very masculine version of himself due to mind control.

for all of qresh’s focus on blood relations and land and pure bloodlines and all this that and the other, older generations of qreshis were known to get a little… odd.

by this i mean. qreshi nobles praying to spirits or gods and giving something to them in exchange. their kids end up a little strange for it. and it passes on and on, becoming diluted in the next generations but always there on some level.

oh, sure, they’ll deny believing in the old gods or in magic, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
